Adele Beach Hotel

We went to this hotel as a quick honeymoon after our wedding. Couldn't have been happier with it. The staff were lovely and all super friendly. The drinks selection was great and so was the food. It is in a great location right next to the beach and near some great local restaurants and shops. The hotel was always very clean and tidy also. Cant recommend this place enough.

We highly recommend the Adele Beach. Not only a great location, right on the beach with a private area for guests, but close to shops, restaurants and cafes and a short bus or taxi ride to Rethymno which is well worth a visit. We arrived in the early hours and as the restaurant was closed the hotel provided a welcome snack and refreshing drink. The hotel offers a great choice of fresh food and the restaurant and pool staff were courteous and always smiling. A huge thanks to Nicos, a lovely man who seems to be everywhere, Anna (sweet, caring and so helpful) in the lobby bar, Katerina (reception)hugs and kisses 😊 Finally, a massive thanks to Christina who is not just a superb member of staff, but a beautiful person. Her manner, care and attention cannot be emphasised enough. We will always remember her great smile and willingness to help make our stay memorable.

An excellent week at this small charming hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we felt at home immediately. The room was basic but more than adequate for our needs. The cleaning was done to a high standard, we had a side sea view and the balcony was a great way to see the amazing view. I must add that the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The food was tasty and varied daily. Plenty of choices for everyone including vegetarians. As the hotel is small, the food was served in small dishes with the restaurant staff refreshed the food regularly ensuring that it was always fresh and hot. The location is second to none, right on the beach and it was a joy to eat dinner outdoors and watch the sun set. Reasonable choices at the bars, good local beer on tap and wine also perfectly acceptable. We did enjoy a few of the cocktails too. The hotel was calm and peaceful with the clientele made up of couples in the main. No entertainment is provided which wasn’t an issue for us. Previous reviews indicated that problems were encountered with over booking but we did not have any issues and were allocated the room that we were expecting. If you are looking for a small quiet hotel serving great food with attentive staff in the perfect beachfront setting, this could be the perfect place for you.

After a delayed flight I arrived at gone midnight to Adele Beach to be told they had electrical issues and I had to be moved to a different hotel. After reading other reviews it seems they were probably just overbooked rather than actually having issues! I was a solo traveller as was meeting family already staying elsewhere in the resort as part of a wedding party but the hotel I got moved to was at the very far end of Rethymno away from everyone else by quite a distance. I’d booked through easyJet holidays and rung their emergency line as the hotel I was moved to was not a like for like, and definitely worth much less than what I’d paid for. Turns out easyJet weren’t made aware I’d been moved and where I’d moved to wasn’t even affiliated with EasyJet! Which as a solo traveller was very unnerving. Luckily EasyJet then moved me to a lovely hotel the next afternoon but out of a 4 night trip away I had a whole 24hrs ruined because of Adele Beach! Which is a shame as the hotel itself looked amazing. The hotel I’d been moved to originally was a sister hotel of Adele beach but that was nearly half the price per nights stay so my guess is that management are overbooking the expensive hotel to then fill up the cheaper one with higher paying guests…

Four of us li the party that travelled together.Flight from Bristol on time . Transfer waiting for us I then it went down hill. they didn't have a garden room for us as they were over booked .The hotel offered to put us up in another hotel even offered us a free hire car for the week. we told them no as we had 4 friends that travelled from Australia to meet us at this hotel. It seem like it was bordering on fraud The gave us two rooms with a 10 foot high wall in front of us,the only view we had was the sky and steep steps to go down and up.This appears to be the norm at this hotel as we overheard other travellers arguing with the reception staff.I would never trust this hotel again and I advise others not to book even if you have the paperwork stating the room . I have been upgraded before but never down graded. Besides being dark the room didn't even have any drawers to put your clothing in.Room safe was so high up you had to carry a chair in from outside yes there was not a chair to sit on in the room. The hotel is in a lovely place food was good room cleaned daily .Staff very pleasant .

booked to go with 6 people from london, some were already waiting for us there as they flew from another country and turns out they overbooked. if it wasn’t for our friends who got there a day before we would have been stranded there when we got there. disgusting service! booked months in advance and don’t have decency to let people know they over booked!! had to call and ask myself! had to cancel my whole holiday the night before!!! lost loads of money. please save yourself stress and book elsewhere! they are scams who overbook on purpose just to send you to a 3 star hotel. apparently they do this on a regular.

Upon arrival was asked to consider moving to another hotel but we declined this as wanted to stay in same hotel as friends we were meeting from Australia. Manager was very keen for us to move offering free car , taxi’s trips , all 8 of us to move together ! We booked a garden view but ended up in an underground room, looking at a wall, with steep steps to access. I feel this hotel over books because every day people arriving were being asked to move to the other hotel . Half way through week electric failed in our room and manager said maintenance had left and it couldn’t be fixed for two days but they could move us to the other hotel , we refused and surprise it was fixed (as soon as we left room for dinner) within the hour. Location was good , bus stop outside to town. Hotel leading onto beach . No issues getting a Sun lounger on either beach or around pool , any time of day. Room was modern and visually pleasing, cleaned everyday with clean towels . They had a safe but I was unable to reach it as it was too high. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Food was good with lots of choice. We had a bottle of bubbly left in our room on last day, I am not sure why but it was appreciated. Overall I had a good holiday but it was spoilt by the room situation, which is a shame .

Where do we start? We had the most beautiful experience at Adele Beach for our first holiday away together. The hotel was always so clean and well looked after. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Anna was amazing and made the best cocktails for us every night. The food was perfect, so fresh and different each night. The walk down from the hotel room to the beach right in front of you was what we needed, a holiday of pure paradise. Oh and don't forget a great location to be able to visit Rethymno as well as the hotel being able to organise so many activities and trips! Thank you Adele Beach - we will definitely be back.
