We stayed in these Rooms for three nights in mid-November. The Rooms are serviced in the same way as any hotel. The location is toward the top of a hill 10 minutes’ walk from the site of Ancient Corinth. It has eight rooms, mostly on the first floor of a two storey building. Some rooms have balconies. The whole building, whilst not new, is in good condition and has been well maintained. We reached the Rooms by taxi from Corinth Railway Station (less than five minutes and approximately 12 euros). There is a small private area for car parking in front of the Rooms. Modern Corinth is a 10 minute taxi-ride away, although we understand there is a bus service with an irregular timetable. The reception area is in a corner of the breakfast room. Whilst not always staffed there was no great delay in someone attending to us. We were on the first floor and there were two soft-seating areas available. There is seating in the paved garden area in front of the building. Our room was without a balcony but adequately furnished with two upright chairs, a small desk, wardrobe shelving and a fridge with tea and coffee making kit on top. There was a large bottle of water. The bed was standard double and comfortable, and the whole room was clean and functional without being overly large. The bathroom was compact with a walk-in shower enclosure (that didn’t leak!) and was spotless. Aircon was efficient, wifi was excellent (and free) and we experienced only minor occasions when noise was heard. The geographical area does not have much traffic. The Rooms only provide breakfast – this is taken in the Breakfast Room which does require exiting one part of the building and entering another. Breakfast was generous but limited and served to the table – it was not a buffet. Hot food was available – we had omelette. We used some of the several restaurants and bars adjacent to the archaeological site. Staff were unfailingly pleasant and professional. They were able to organise a driver for an out of town trip – there, wait and return. Housekeeping was efficient. We are not sure about mobility access but as with much of Ancient Corinth – both the town and the site – believe it could be a problem. The rooms were sensibly priced, they were warm, and for a trip to the archaeological site are ideal.
