Comfort Inn & Suites North Aurora - Naperville

Arrived very late in the evening for a 2 night stay. The front desk person was welcoming and very courteous. Lobby was clean and updated. There is a small indoor pool right off the lobby. The king suite was spacious, had a refrigerator, microwave, sink and good storage cabinetry. The bed was comfortable. Through our stay all staff was really nice. Breakfast had a good selection but just didn’t hit it. Scrambled egg texture and taste was artificial, like the powder form. Sausage link flavor and texture was off. They did have 3 cold cereal options as well as oatmeal, pastries and waffles as other options not tried by me due to dietary restrictions. Our room just wasn’t clean to the standards we are used to in our hotel stays. The microwave did not work. And we received no housekeeping services. When we notified front desk we were told housekeeping had left and we would need to come down and retrieve clean towels ourselves. Our room was situated close to the elevator. Conversations could be heard clearly through the closed door. Wish I could say more good about this hotel. This would not be my first choice when staying in this area again.

I never write reviews but felt the need to for this property. Unfortunately this hotel had bed bugs that we found after our first night. When we informed the front desk that we were leaving because of bed bugs the staff seemed unsurprised. When we checked out the computer system was “down”, and now it has been 2 weeks of back and forth trying to get a refund processed with my credit card company. We were supposed to stay there 2 additional nights but obviously switched hotels after finding bed bugs. They are denying my request to refund the two nights we didn’t stay there since we didn’t have “proof” of bed bugs. Even though I have a receipt for the other hotel we ended up staying at instead. They are also very hard to get a hold of. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel unless you want to get bed bugs and pay for nights you didn’t stay there.

Stayed here on business for 3 nights. It was okay, but I would not recommend it. The staff were very nice- front desk, breakfast attendant and housekeeping were very polite. The hotel was very quiet because only a handful of rooms were occupied while I was there. It appears that the carpeting in the hallways and my room was fairly new. Breakfast was very limited and room amenities were off branded and appeared to have been used, so I didn't touch them. The A/C worked fine. The bedding was GROSS. I didn't notice until my 3rd night, but the underside of the comforter was dirty and had dried cheese (??) on it. I took the comforter off the bed and threw it on the floor so that housekeeping would wash it. If you stay in room 308, check the bedding before turning in for the night. The hotel overall needs a refresh desperately- it looks like the furniture and fixtures haven't been touched in 20 years.

I have never been in a hotel with such a lack of soundproofing. While walking down the hall, I could clearly hear entire conversations that other guests were having behind closed doors. I could also hear the people above me every time they walked anywhere. The confusing part was that there were not a lot of cars in the parking lot but the hotel was completely full. Some people said they had been there for several weeks. Additionally, my credit card was double charged. I called to let them know and they said it wasn't. I will work that out with my bank I guess. On a good note, the hotel was fairly clean and the breakfast had a fairly good variety and was attended to very nicely.

Phenomenal customer service, clean accommodations, great breakfast. Downside was loud guests & thin walls. Pool could have been warmer but the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Very friendly check-in and cleaning. Breakfast was typical but laid out well, very appreciative of sugar-free maple syrup for waffles.

I rarely write bad reviews but this one I had to write on. The “pet friendly” advertising is pretty off because this place has a very strict pet policy that you cannot at any time have your pet unattended. I am a travel nurse and travel with my cat. On top of paying 20 dollars a night to for my pet to be here, I then had to additionally pay to get my cat boarded at a local vet since I could not leave my cat in the room while I went to work. Overall this should be advertised because I ended up spending over 300 dollars to have a cat here. Will not stay again.
