Unfortunately our initial arrival at this hotel was not great. We needed a luggage trolley and we’re told there was only one. Front desk staff could be better trained. Not much in the way of greeting guests upon arrival. I literally had to state that I was checking in. The response was asking for my i.d. Then instead of any form of welcome, the response I got was “you have three reservations,” which honestly alarmed me, but although I had initially booked with *********** and had also had a room with king bed, I had cancelled both those reservations. I actually pulled one cancellation up on my phone screen to show the desk clerk. No acknowledgement from the clerk. Payment was made and we were given a room on the first floor, which turned out to be a handicapped room, although no one in our party was handicapped. This room was enough to cause a person to become handicapped. Not kidding. There was no way to shower without the bathroom floor becoming wet and slippery, despite carefully positioning the shower head, water ran out. The worst was the sofa bed, which my husband used. When opened up, the bed blocked passage to the bathroom! It literally butted up to the room’s queen bed. I will attach a photo, How is this safe? Completely blocks access to room exit when sofa bed is in use. Not to mention 3 women in a room needing access to the restroom. We did approach front desk the next day and ask to please be moved to another room. This time we got a “regular” second floor room. Somewhat of an improvement bc the bathroom was no longer blocked by the sofa bed, although it did blocked the desk and small bar/fridge area when opened. And believe it or not, the door/exit to the room once again. This seems like it would be against fire code? Unlike the first room where the a/c was set in the 60s and the room was freezing cold when we got in/we had to completely turn it off, this second room had a noisy inefficient a/c the continually ran & did not cool. The room felt muggy. Needless to say, quite a disappointment for a three night stay. Could have asked to move again, but honestly it did not feel like the hassle. We had already been asked to remove our belonging quickly from the first room, so that it could be cleaned quickly. The desk clerk on the second day, did ask if the room we were moved to was okay. Yes, okay, was about it. Beds felt too soft. Pillows too thick. Location was okay, but not as close to campus as we’d hoped. I attempted multiple times to call the front desk to inquire about watching Prime Video. Just wanted to check if as guests we could view for free. No answer. Tried calling front desk from room phone. The phone did not work. Finally got an answer when I called from my cell. At least the person answering was honest in admitting they did boot know and answered my question after asking someone else. Daily price varied quite a lot from Thurs thru Sat, despite the senior discount. I am all over the place with my
