Red Roof Inn Bakersfield

BED BUGS, VIOLENT ACTIVITY, CAR BREAK INS, DRUG DEALING! This place was a gem 4 years ago. Under the newest management it is a Certifiable Nightmare. Rude and apathetic management. Filthy, torn and ripped furniture. Does not come with shown amenities such as coffee maker, etc This is an honest review from a seasoned traveler. STAY AWAY..

Terrible-Filthy: This place has single handedly made me not want to stay at a other Red Roof Inn ever again. Poor service, terrible check-in and absolute filth in the room. Broken plugs that could not charge any of our devices, broken beds and furniture. And they had the audacity to charge a $100 security deposit for each room. Furthermore, the person at reception pretended he couldn’t find my membership, did not want to give me the discount I am entitled to as a long-time member of red roof inn and took 35 minutes to give me two rooms.

After the most horrific night sleep all we wanted to do is check out as quickly as possible. Where can I start? Walls made out of papier-mâché, carpet that smelled like urine, profitable small business run out of the rooms next store and happy hour seemed to be between 12-4 am. My two teenagers are traumatised from the non-stop creaking bed sounds from next door. Don’t be fooled by the positive review bots.

Upon checking in our room we discovered feces on the toilet seat. Let the front desk know and was told there was no one there to clean it. I asked the front desk gal if she would do it and was told she couldn’t. I eventually took some of their wipes since I had to clean it myself. I expressed this to the manager who was unwilling to do anything other than make excuses and blame me. Corporate Red Roof Inn was not willing to do anything as well.

One of the best hotels in Bakersfield, very clean and very nice staff! Bathroom was clean and had a really good shower. Bed was comfy with clean bedding. It was also very quiet and I couldn't hear other guests so that's a big plus!

This a small Red Roof Inn. No mention of a 100,00 security charge on the reservation website but demanded on arrival. People talking outside the room. If your on the 1st floor you can hear every pounding foot step above. The towels are very thin and almost worthless to dry off. Why are they charging Reward Members a security deposit?
