Our 3-night stay at Namkat Yorla Pa was nothing short of incredible! We just returned from an unforgettable trip to Laos with our four young children, and the three days we spent at Namkat Yorla Pa were the highlight of our entire journey. It’s not just the stunning facilities or the picturesque stream that flows alongside the resort—it’s the people that truly make this place special. A huge shoutout to GM Ben and our trekking guide Phet, both of whom went above and beyond to ensure our stay was something we will remember forever. We stayed in a family room, which had two bedrooms and one bathroom—plenty of space for our family. Our kids’ favorite part of the room was the bathroom (yes, really!) and the porch overlooking the stream. Second to that, they loved swimming in the pool. We ate all three meals at the resort restaurant each day, and the menu offered plenty of options: from traditional Lao dishes to Western favorites like spaghetti Bolognese and grilled chicken salad. For adventures, we did two incredible excursions: 1. The trekking, canopy walks, and 11 ziplines (#8/9 on their list), and 2. The new Orchard Hike with Mr. Phet, which was perfect for the kids. We opted for the 3-hour version (there’s also a 6-hour option), and it was just the right amount of challenge and fun for our little adventurers! Don’t miss the on-site museum—it’s packed with detailed exhibits that give you a glimpse of the incredible species in the area.
