We loved our stay here. Louise and Chris are so friendly and gracious and willing to help with tips for exploring Bath and surrounding areas. The room was very clean and well stocked with necessities, and the bed was comfortable. Loved the view of the church out our window. Being first time drivers in the UK, we opted to pay for the parking permit for the private lot up the street ($5) to avoid any stress trying to find on street parking and it was an easy in/out. The optional continental breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend! Thank you Louise and Chris.

What a lovely stay. A little way up the hill, but only an easy down hill stroll to the train station and the gateway to the city. Good opportunity to take photos. Warm and friendly hosts. The breakfast was the best continental I’ve ever seen. Thank you for a wonderful time.

A delightful location and a real home from home. Our host Louise was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and effortlessly went over and above. A pleasant walk into Bath, with pubs and restaurants en route. Would definitely stay again!!

We loved staying at Devonshire House. The room was cosy and well-appointed. Beds were very comfortable. We loved the beautifully-prepared and plentiful continental breakfasts with fresh fruit salad, yogurt, fresh rolls or croissants, a hard-boiled egg, orange juice. Buses are handy to go to the city centre. Nearby on-street parking was not a problem while we were there. Chris is a very congenial and helpful host. We would like to stay there if we ever find ourselves in the amazing city of Bath again. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights to visit Bath Christmas Market. Lovely hosts. Sorted free parking for us opposite & ground floor room when I explained I had hurt my knee. Very convenient for Bath Centre. Just 20 minutes walk into town, but lots of buses. Bed super comfy, en suite room, super quiet. Definitely recommend. Definitely use again.

Stayed at the Devonshire house in December whilst the Bath Christmas markets were on. The Hotel is fantastic, even better than the pictures. We stayed in room which was very spacious and had all the facilities required including an iron & board just outside the room. The owners Louise & Chris are lovely and very accommodating. It was about a 20-25 minute walk down into Bath. I would recommend you pre book and pay the £5 / night parking as parking on the street is extremely limited. The paid parking is less than 5 minutes walk up the road. We will most definitely be returning.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay. Very clean and tidy. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. I was sick with stomach problems and they were very sympathetic and helpful. The location is only a few minutes away by bus if you are not driving. It's up a hill so if you have luggage better to take a bus than walk. I found the #4A bus at platform 16 (not on the street side) at the bus station (beside the train station), to be quick, only a few minutes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Devonshire house and Louise and Chris were so welcoming and friendly! Our room was cosy, the pillows and bed were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The bath/shower was perfect, easy to operate and everywhere was exceptionally clean. It was my friend's birthday and we arrived to find a card and chocolates in our room for her, such a thoughtful touch to make her day even more special! Tea and coffee is available to make in the rooms 24/7 with top ups downstairs if needed. The continental breakfast here is AMAZING, so much choice on one tray delivered to your room daily. It really sets you up for the day and is worth every penny! There are some free car parking spaces opposite by the church, which luckily we were able to get! The walk into town is all downhill which takes about 15 minutes. There's a big choice of buses to ride back up the hill on, costing between £1.80-£2.00 if you're not feeling fit! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.

Lovey place to stay in Bath and the hosts are very friendly. I had a double room with a separate bath. The room was cosy ,warm and quiet. The breakfast was extra but great value. Comfortable bed. I only used public transport while in Bath but the place is 20 minutes walk from the city center or there are busses that pass out the front. Would recommend if staying in the area.

One of the best, Bed & Breakfasts, I've ever stayed in very Comfortable bed /room The hosts were very knowledgeable about the local area very good tips of what to see and do in the city. an easy 20 minute walk into the city centre. Definitely will stay again and recommend to anybody.

Great place to stay, very clean and very welcoming. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms was very clean and tidy. Good location, with a 15 minute walk into bath city centre. Will definitely be staying there again.

Very comfortable room, ground floor facing the road, but very quiet. Bed exceptionally comfortable along with pillows. Shower and accessories very good. The continental breakfast was very close to being served breakfast in bed - a tray on a luggage stand outside the door - delightful and delicious. A lot of care went into this.

The room was spacious for our family of 3. The room had nice morning beverages for us to prepare, since we opted out of paying for a continental breakfast. We didn’t see our hosts much, likely because of COVID precautions, but they were helpful and let us check in early. Our room was noisy at night, but that is only because we had to open up the windows due to the warm temperatures. The area is convenient to a few places to eat, and it’s a fairly easy walk to town.

We stayed at Devonshire House for 4 nights and loved every minute. The hosts, Chris and Louise are very friendly, chatty and full of useful information about how to navigate Bath. Truly lovely people and make the place so welcoming and comfortable. The room was clean and nice, lots of little touches, attention to detail, very pleasant. I really liked the breakfast, which is brought to your door in the morning at a requested time (prepared with great care and again, lots of little nice touches). It’s was so sweet for the owners to include a birthday card and a gift for my partner 😍 The room had excellent ceiling fan and another table fan, and even in this sweltering heat, the temperature was quite ok. The hotel is not central, but only at most 10 minutes in a car from the centre and taxis are not expensive in Bath, around 6-7 quid to the centre. There are frequent buses from right here to the centre too and you can pay easily by card onboard, so the distance is literally no issue. We have so enjoyed our stay, and will definitely stay here again when next in Bath. Thank you, Chris and Louise!
