This is our 5th Visit. And the standards in some areas have gone down. Our check in was good. Very nice lady.But we had to remind her about our Spa visit, which was very good The housekeeping is excellent. Our room was cleaned to a very high standard by Lolita. I do think it would be a nice touch to replace the coffee and milk as they do in premier inns etc. A special mention to Joaquin the restaurant manager so helpful and a lovely man. That extra personal touch was most welcome. Sadly when he is not there it is not so professional. A lot of messing around in the dining room by the staff. The food on Halloween was superb. Good variety, but not that hot. The salad bar also wasn’t as good as previous years Marina tutted at me when I asked for some more bacon. And one Chef ignored my wife and served his fellow member of staff first. I did bring this to the attention of the manageress at the time. We used the gym during the week. Sadly the running machine was out of order all week. The lifts were very sporadic,and frequently had to change the keycard. And we hadn’t had them by our phone The terrace area gets very busy..and we found the waitress quite rude also. We only sat there once. When our friends checked out they were told thanks for staying,hope to see you again. We left soon after and the receptionists were too busy talking and just took the keys off me. We shall be looking to go elsewhere next year

We have stayed in this hotel 4 times now and this time I was disappointed. We arrived at 9-30pm, the restaurant closed at 9pm so we got a bog with 2 hard bread rolls a tin of tuna and a tin of pate and an apple. My husband doesn’t like pate or tuna so he had a bread roll, I had nothing because the bread roll was too hard. Then we went to reception the 3rd day got extra mill pods for coffee and he told us “the supermarket is round the corner “ I said all I want was milk pods like what’s in the room, he said the first 2 are complementary then we have to buy our own Toiletries are not very good this year as well and there is no shower cap. Lovely and clean, food good but I won’t be going back.,

The hotel is absolutely spotless! I was very impressed with the cleanliness of all areas. The food was a particular highlight- the range and quality was impeccably! One lunch was swordfish, curries, duck, fresh salad and pastas, paella, a range of fruits and desserts; dinners included kebabs in the show cooking area (so full we could barely close the wraps!), a range of Halloween themed dishes, a coffin and skeleton made entirely of chocolate! It was exceptional and brilliant for the Halloween night- it was topped off by the waiters dressed as vampires with one doing a particularly good Dracula impression to make guests smile. All staff were very friendly and helpful, the entertainment and bar staff was good consistently. We are already planning a return trip- location is brilliant. I’ve seen reviews complaining of noise but I did not notice this at all during my stay! Overall this was a brilliant stay! Highly recommend!

We have been to Benidorm over 15 have stayed in numerous hotels, we have got to say this is the best hotel ever.(and I am not easily pleased) Staff in the restaurant are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. always plenty of choice. Terrace is a sun trap, staff friendly, and work really hard. Will definitely be back.

I have reviewed the Riviera so many times now I’m starting to bore myself. I literally cannot think of EVER staying anywhere else in Benidorm. The location, food, staff, cleanliness are ALL totally outstanding - my other reviews of the hotel can only be echoed again on our latest visit. Every visit is like coming home! Only 2 things that we missed this time (although it didn’t affect our enjoyment) were Gabrielle and the Riviera Music Lounge (it was closed for the whole of August). We have been coming to Benidorm for 16 years, 2 to 3 times a year. We have been on holiday to 5 different countries. And out of all the hotels we have stayed in. This hotel is number 1. From the moment you arrive and meet the lovely reception staff who are kind, fun and professional. I have my favourites but will not mention them as this is a team game. Being Scottish the next team to meet was the excellent hard working bar staff. Nothing was to much trouble. And onto the dinning area. The food was very good (big up to the kitchen staff) and again staff always had a smile and nothing was to much trouble. The cleaning and maintenance team also do a wonderful job the maintenance of the plants and trees are beautifully kept. Now the manager (get your hard hat on Gabrielle lol) you must be very proud of the staff you have. And now the down side.... why the hell did we not find this gem of a place that has so many stars that shine so bright before ? We are here till the 19th August. Please don't make us leave!!! What can I say, little Britain in the sun. Best hotel food ever, breakfast is better than a Premier Inn etc restaurant. Meals are actually hot and I normally miss my gravy but available every day. The Christmas buffet was fantastic and the restaurant staff were an absolute credit to the hotel. As we booked direct, we were asked of any requests and received rooms directly in the morning sun, just what we wanted. Visited the Riviera Music Lounge, to see a few acts and Ruby Rox but it does repeat itself during a weeks stay. So visited across the road at the Explorers Lounge and uncle Ped’s, also visited other hotels in the group, they say you get a discount on drinks but you never get it. The cleaners were very friendly and also received a box of chocolates for Christmas. Only issue, don’t go up the hotel bar as one bar man, has a terrible attitude and charges you without giving you a receipt, no doubt putting the different in his back pocket. The terrace at the front, doesn’t get a great amount of winter sun and was quite cold and windy while we were there. Would I return of course, but be mindful that it is quite noisy. It maybe adults only but next door isn’t so you still get screaming kids. The booming music does go on most of the night and I could still hear underlying noise with the doors closed. There is a good selection of UK TV channels.

Stayed at this hotel quite a few times, just had Christmas day here and boy what a fantastic day. We started off with appetisers and drinks on the terrace, followed by the most amazing Christmas dinner. The staff here are second to none and most definitely deserve the highest praise they work so hard to make sure that everyone is well looked after. And the food is unbelievable you would not get anything better if you stayed at any of the top London hotels. All I can say is if you want a fantastic Christmas with first class service and fantastic food then don't hesitate to come here.

Stayed here for a week, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is great it is close to bars and the hotel is only a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the beer buckets on the terrace. The cocktails are amazing. They are reasonably priced. I also like the coffee they did with a little glass of Tia Maria or brandy. We stayed full board, i really enjoyed breakfast the poached eggs were perfect. The food at lunch and evening meal was lovely i always found something to have. I loved the salad bar with the different selection of meats. The staff are amazing and work really hard. A big thank you. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Having just returned home, I more or less immediately emailed the hotel to give our personal thanks to them. We were only there for four days and it just wasn’t enough. We didn’t want to go home which is unusual for us, we’re normally ready. It was our second visit to this hotel, sadly for us it was back in 2018 why so long? We’ve been used to staying in one next door but one, which the last couple of times hasn’t been good. It was my 70th birthday as well on our return home, our Golden Wedding. From start to finish the staff were so friendly, they all worked together above and beyond. Everywhere was spotless, as for the food, every meal was beautiful with plenty of choice for everyone and so fresh. On the day of my birthday I was over the moon when a bottle of champagne had been left in our room. What a lovely gesture we thought it was so kind of them. I’m sure we’ll be back in the very near future, only been away 4 days and felt so relaxed

When you arrive you are treated like friends. all the staff are friendly and helpful. And most of them have been there for years. the restaurant is always spotless. Food is always fresh and there is always something to tempt you. you know the hotel is doing something right when you discover how many people have been coming to this hotel for many years . Me and my Husband stayed here from the 7th June to the 14th June 2024, and we absolutely loved it. The staff were friendly, approachable and couldn't do enough for you. Any queries we had, they were quick to answer it. The situation of the hotel is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the main strip/beach, but far enough away that you can get a decent nights sleep without any interruption from the loud nightclubs. We were half board so had Breakfast and Dinner included, and we were pleasantly surprised when we tried the food. The food was fresh, hot and very juicy. Some buffet style services, you can find the food a little dry from the heat lamps, but NOT here! The selection of food at Breakfast and Dinner was outstanding, with plenty of variety. Each day had a different variety of food, with some firm favourites available every day. The hotel's pool area is fairly small, however we didn't struggle to get a sunbed. This may be different in the height of summer, but I can't comment on that. The hotel's terrace is a great place to sit, morning, noon or night for either a coffee, light bite or soft/alcoholic drink. The staff were attentive and friendly even though they could be very busy. There is table service on the terrace, but you can also go inside to order if you prefer. Again, the light bites on the terrace were so tasty, and fresh. On the terrace they also have acts who perform. There is a DJ who comes 4 nights a week, and then on other evenings there are some singers. We saw the DJ most nights she was playing, and saw a few of the other acts. We loved the atmosphere on the terrace, and spent a lot of time here. The hotel also has a music lounge downstairs, where they have different acts on each night of the week. We visited this a couple of times, and loved the atmosphere down there. Again the staff were friendly and attentive. We saw Ruby Rox (Drag Act) here one evening, and it's honestly one to go watch! To sum up, we absolutely loved it here, and we'll definitely be coming back again.

Four night stay at the Hotel Riviera. Lovely accomodation in a great location. We were full board, Breakfast was the best we have had abroad. Lunch time food really good selection something for all tastes and Evening meal too. The restaurant was never too busy either. The front of the hotel has a lovely bar area with Music and Dj. The staff were really friendly and worked hard. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here again for my suprise birthday present and the hotel is still very very good. All the staff especially the manageress gabi are top class . The rooms are good spacious and spotless . The food in my opinion is the best hotel food in benidorm. The sun terrace is probably the best one around. Very good prices for drinks and food . Weve met lots of people on the sun terrace who go 3 or 4 times a year to this hotel and we spent many an afternoon in thier company sat in the sunshine. In my opinion this hotel will take some beating.
