Berlin Encore Hotel & Suites

The Berlin Encore is a very nice hotel for it's central location and also for it's convenience after attending a show at the Amish Country Theater which is attached to the hotel. The rooms are spacious with clean, comfy beds, pillows, and bed linens, and the bathroom towels were extra fluffy and soft. I did note that the carpet was stained in areas and in need of cleaning. The decor in the expansive lobby is very nice. There is also plenty of seating in the lobby areas. The friendly staff was welcoming, very helpful, and kind. I appreciated the express check-in which expedited that process. There was plenty of hot and cold breakfast options to choose from including those delicious cinnamon rolls!! I will most certainly stay again at the Berlin Encore Hotel & Suites when attending a performance at the theater or for an overnight stay when visiting Amish Country !

I spend the night almost every month. I love this hotel. It's beautiful and the staff are the nicest. I come so often the staff is like family. Specially Ashley and Jamie. I have stayed in all kinds of rooms there, but the encore suite is my favorite.

We have stayed here a couple times and is always very nice. Today we came up on a holiday weekend to stay one night it was awesome. As we were heading in my husband was feeling a little bit sick and we still had about an hour and half before check in. I called the hotel talked to Tiffany at front desk told her what was going on she looked said room is ready come in early. We did express check in no hassle. Tiffany was at desk when we got here I thanked her she said of course and if we needed anything to call her. After a bit of rest he felt better and we had an enjoyable time

This is a pretty hotel and the pictures lured us in. We chose a King Suite for quiet & privacy. They gave us the suite on the 4th floor end unit that butted next to the very loud Amish theater concerts. The shower in the picture is accurate, again beautiful shower if you don’t need water pressure or hot water…just tepid. If it’s a bald guy probably not a big deal but if you have hair then Don’t count on a good rinse & bring your own shampoo. That was my mistake. I used theirs and now my hair is damaged. I couldn’t get a brush through it. Room wasn’t cleaned and restocked (only towels) It’s also difficult to turn left out of the parking lot onto the main road. We won’t stay there again. We’ve travelled often in the past and for the $$$$ the shower should be better than a beach rinse off station. If your going for the Amish theater and want to walk back to your room then go for it.

The hotel is beautiful outside and very welcoming upon arriving. When you walk in, the lobby is very large and open and this is great when you have a few parties arriving at once (which was the case as there was a wedding scheduled for the same time we were staying-which also prevented us from being able to sit in the patio area which was a slight bummer). We had an easy check-in as they emailed you the room number, charged your card, and then you just picked up your room keycard in the lobby and headed to your room. When we entered the room it was decent sized. We had a double queen as it was the last one available when we called on short notice. The room was fairly clean however we were told the hotel had been there five years and it seemed dirty for no longer than it had been there. Examples of that are caulk was missing in places and discolored in some, thick dust on the baseboard areas, scratched and discolored furniture tops, and stains on the floors especially between the beds. (see photo) I think some pretreats and a good shampoo would help tremendously. Right out front of the hotel, there is a putt-putt place that looks like a lot of fun, and several shops out there as well. The highlight by far was the fact that the Amish Comedy Theater is attached directly to the hotel. It was hilariously funny! Bonus-you get a $5 discount for staying at the hotel! We went the first night we were there and ended up having so much fun that we bought tickets to the other show the next night (two different shows!) The pool is decent-sized and was very clean. The workout room had very little machinery and was pretty small but that was not an issue as I didn't see anyone else in there. The breakfast was served slightly early on both mornings which was nice and the people working in the kitchen area were very friendly and the food was good! One thing I didn't understand was the front desk staff was very friendly but I was surprised they did not have some sort of "uniform" on as it was difficult to distinguish guest from employee. Overall, we will definitely be back and will check in to the Amish Comedy Theater Land Cruise (Check out their website!)

I had the chance to stay at the Berlin Hotel and Suites the last few days. I was there with a bus trip participating in one of their Land Cruises. When I walked in, you definitely got the island vibe. The staff was very helpful and our rooms were clean & comfortable. There was plenty of activities, shows, and food!! I would LOVE to come back again!!

I and my wife visit Holmes County Ohio several times a year for more years than I care to recall.. we used to stay at the Carlisle Inn in Walnut Creek until they "modernized" the hotel and destroyed its Amish country atmosphere... just stayed at he Berlin Encore and we have found a new place to stay when we come to Ohio. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect... comfort, amenities, breakfast, location, staff... you name it and the Encore delivered... won't waste our time going back to the Carlisle Inn... we've found a new home. Already booked for October...

A very nice place clean good bathrooms and a good hot breakfast. The staff was really friendly and helpful they even asked if you needed anything and a good morning a nice touch. The hotel is right next door to the amish country theater. The location is right in the middle of Christmas shop and a shopping village. Not that far from Berlin and walnut creek just right in the middle of the action. They now have a putter golf. Easy to get to friendly staff clean rooms and bathrooms and a good breakfast.

My Husband and I have stayed here twice in previous years. Had a perfect experience. Not this time! The woman that worked behind the counter who couldn’t be bothered, in a hoodie with the hood up and very sloppily dressed, wasn’t available for at least 15 minutes for our check in because she was in her car outside the door smoking. She was frequently not available to check in others and for questions we had because again, out in her car smoking and not covering the desk. She went out to smoke every half hour and then that smell lingers with her into the lobby and when she’s not doing that she’s playing a game on her phone and won’t look up when people approach the desk until she’s played the next part of her game. She’s very curt with people, loud and wants to tell you all her problems. She was very condescending to another couple staying there after they asked her a question she rudely said “I already told you that once before”! This was sad to experience because the two times before when we stayed here the Staff behind the counter were dressed nicely, very proper, professional and greeted everyone that came to the desk. This is a very nice hotel that’s poorly represented by someone who does not want to be interrupted when she’s on her phone or smoking outside. One of the nights we were there, a man was there, not her and he was great! She was terrible. Now we’re looking for another nice place to stay as beautiful inside as Encore. We were sent a text at least three times regarding our check in before arrival yet when we arrived we couldn’t check in until she came in from smoking.
