Booked as an emergency since we had been let down by Northern Fail [sic] so had to stop an additional night in Blackpool after our rather disappointing stay at another hotel. Another hotel that has transparently seen better days and is currently being run into the ground. We were surprised not to see a Britannia Hotels flag outside. However, we were desperate, short of cash and for £39 for the night between us, we were unable to complain. Was charged £50 deposit on arrival, had to be paid in cash so my husband had to find a cash machine around the back, opposite the bins, I believe to pay the deposit in case we stole towels, cups and teaspoons, the price of replacing them was advertised at reception. It was £1.00 for a teaspoon, I remember that. Room was small, but arguably very clean. View was possibly the worst you could find in Blackpool, and I mean that. I have just posted photo's for you to look at, but honestly, there is no excuse for guests to treat the place like a dustbin but also, no excuse for the staff not to clear up as well, since there had to be access to the roof as every now and again, someone seemed to loiter outside our window which was on the first 1st floor. Transparently won't be back, if this is the new Windsor, I would very much like to avoid the old one...
