I reserved 2 rooms at this property. The front desk staff were the only bright spot. The property is extraordinarily shabby. The hotel sign isn't even permanent. The rooms are worn. The carpet is filthy. The doors to the rooms both stuck. The TV reception is poor-there is clearly something wrong with the service, cable or dish. I wouldn't touch the couch or chairs. The double beds can not be standard. They were tiny with accompanying unusually tiny pillows. There wasn't even a real closet but an armoire in the bathroom. The tub has obvious mildew and the porcelain is peeling off. In one of the rooms the AC/heat was uncontrollable. It was either 60 degrees or 80. We had to put one of the chairs over it to block enough cold air to prevent the 60 and the 80. The laundry in the fitness room is funny. The pool area is terrible and no one would actually use it. I would never stay here again.

My stay at the Blu Hotel in Blue Ash, OH, was very enjoyable. The hotel’s location, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff made for a positive experience. While there are a few areas that could use some improvement, such as bathroom cleanliness, the overall quality of the hotel is high. I would recommend the Blu Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Blue Ash.

This should be 5 stars. It's obvious many may judge quantity as quality. This maybe a small hotel, but it's huge on 5 star quality. Attentative, Safe and most of Quiet and respect their quest privacy. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is awesome, the staff unlike a lot of places here in Cincinnati, actually know how to smile and be a kind human. Thank you to the staff for making us actually not want to go home, we added 2 days and canceled a ****** booking because we were afraid we wouldn't find this kind of quality anywhere else. We glad we did.

We blocked the Blu Hotel for our wedding in Blue Ash. We had about 45 rooms booked for our weekend. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are large and well maintained. The groomsman (party of 10) got ready in one of the large suites and had plenty of room. We made welcome bags which the desk gave to our guests at check in. The continental breakfast was great. Arranging the room block was extremely easy. The general manager, Sahil, was prompt with responding via email and very detail oriented. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

This boutique property is part of the Choice Hotels, Ascend Collection. It is my first experience with an Ascend property. The property seems a bit dated and appears it may have been renovated after being acquired by its present owner. The rooms are spacious and bedding was comfortable, although the pillows seemed too small for the king sized bed. The theme of the property is New Orleansish but the datedness of the property gives you a feel for the desire to catch up to a modern world but caught between a 60s-70s era. A somewhat eclectic setting yet their lack of attention to detail is found in cracks in paint, holes not properly spackled and a slow growth of mold in the shower ceiling from a bathroom lacking proper ventilation. This property is located in a business district that would make this ideal for someone wishing to be in a quiet setting. The hotel posts a quiet hours to respect the comfort of its guests. There is a small pool and for the size of the property the gym is a descent size as well. A unique thing is artwork displayed throughout the property that is available for purchase. From what was seen, nothing was too overpriced which may aid towards The staff were all pleasant and respectful. It may not be well known but if this property hosts any happy hour events and art work auctions they may be able to improve its awareness. Overall this property has potential to be a sought after property.

I normally don’t write reviews but I feel compelled to tell you not to waste your money on this hotel. Our room was on the first floor. The room smelled extremely damp. The rug was covered in stains and very uneven; as if the pad was old, damaged from water, or maybe furniture. The desk was broken, and the dresser accompanying the desk had draws that kept opening on their own. I suspect as a result of the uneven floor. I gave this a two because I think they cleaned the room as best as they could; and I also agree with the other comments about a good breakfast layout and coffee options. We booked this room for friends as well and they left a day early. We would have too, if we had another option.

We came down for the western southern open. My husband booked this hotel through our American Express travel. Walking in it was beautiful. The lobby right after the entrance doors is kind of squished. But once you get past that into the main hall it is gorgeous. Obviously newly updated/renovated. Our room was on the first floor. We walked in and noticed how much more spacious it is than most places. Pull out couch, table, chairs, desk, king size bed. French doors to the bathroom. Texture on the walls is a little goofy but not too shabby. The floor due to the way the carpet is feels like you’re constantly uneven. Really what I noticed they may have done a better job at are small details in the bathroom. They didn’t do granite up to the ceiling they did it to you about 7 feet or so. After that it’s painted and part of the paint is cracked and peeling. The showerhead and where the water comes out for the tub they are very loose you can obviously shake some quite a bit. Not all the outlets were working. Although they did have a lot of extra throughout the room for those.

When I arrived at the hotel, the first issue was that the wrong room had been reserved; the first room I was put in was filthy, so they moved me to another one, which they made me check out. I looked around and thought it looked better than the first room, so I said okay later to discover it had bugs, so I took pictures. The manager says they called pest control, who said there were no bugs, but they haven't provided any documentation or a report to back up their claim. Despite the fact that I never even spent the night there, they refused my request for a refund of my money, which is absurd given that I made the staff aware of my concerns. I checked out the same day since I could no longer tolerate the bugs jumping on me from the bed. This was the first time in my entire life that I had ever stayed in a hotel, and it was a horrible experience. Even when I attempted to sit in the desk chair, I could feel something jumping on the bottom of my legs, possibly fleas. It was terrible. All of my clothes had to be washed. I put my belongings down when I initially checked in at the hotel because I didn't imagine a hotel, especially one that charges almost $100 per night, would have bugs. I had to leave the hotel several times, and each time I did, the bugs followed me on my clothing to my car this is before I realized they had bugs. While I was driving all night after I checked out I could feel them jumping on my legs. The following day, I parked my car for five hours during a portion of my trip; when I returned, my car's interior thermometer read 118 degrees. By chance, I happened to lift my basket when I returned to the car to load things when I discovered the dead bugs that had traveled with me from the hotel right there they died from the heat. This is not at all acceptable to me because I'm a really clean person. The same day I checked in to this hotel I checked out and drove through the night to my next destination; nevertheless, I had to stay awake for more than 24 hours before I could check into my next booked hotel, which, by the way, was excellent. There were no problems over my entire 10-day visit. The rooms at this hotel truly need to be upgraded, and getting rid of all the carpets should be their top priority because that would greatly reduce any fleas, bugs, or other pests that may be present. When I finally arrived at my destination, I chose a hotel without carpet. It was such a beautiful 10-day experience that I wish your hotel had been the same. Thank you for ruining the first day of my very first vacation. By the way the owner keeps responding to all my reviews on different sites trying to say it was lint but if you look at the photos i am posting you can see legs on the bugs!!!! I will be calling the health department in the morning and will be getting my lawyer involved since they want to refuse a refund on a room that was full of bugs.
