We recently stayed at the hotel La Pietra and wanted to share our experience, as we believe feedback is essential for improvement. Unfortunately, our visit fell short of expectations. While the hotel had potential, we felt that the staff's demeanor was somewhat unwelcoming, which made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. Additionally, breakfast was not up to par. The lack of fresh bread and the limited selection of vacuum-packed pastries took away from the overall experience. The coffee, served from a machine, did not meet the quality one might hope for in a hotel setting. Another aspect we were disappointed with was the pool, which was unavailable for one day despite it being advertised as open to hotel guests. On our return we raised this matter through our booking agent and initially faced some resistance from the hotel. However, after providing photographic evidence, we were suitably compensated, which we appreciated. Lastly, I was surprised to see dogs belonging to guests allowed to relieve themselves in the garden area where the sun loungers were located. This raised some hygiene concerns that could easily be addressed with better policies. While there were few positive aspects to our stay, we hope that management takes this feedback into account, as it could greatly enhance the experience for future guests.
