When all the planets align one occasionally has an experience which totally exceeds expectation and resonates with your soul. This was one such experience. Anna and her family are evolving something very special, maintaining the vision and ethos of their forefathers. We melted into a full week at this rural Apulian retreat - a fully functioning organic farm, with a creative kitchen, with cooks from the locality combing love, the very finest produce, and centuries of collective knowledge. Watching them arrive in the early evening laden with freshly picked produce (zucchini in flower, ripe tomatoes, beans, melon and much more) from the surrounding 300 acres - knowing that a feast was in store - became a nightly joy. Head Waiter Antonio was on top of his game, a total delight, knowledgeable, attentive, caring and characterful. A real ambassador for the farm and the region. Having assessed our tastes, he even suggested dishes not featured on the menu which were duly conjured in a trice. Excellent local wines, some produced on the property, were priced at around 15 - 20 Euros (Aperol Spritz at 5 Euros). Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. All the above delivered with a smile and offered great value for money. What’s not to like?
