The welcome was typically warm, but nobody thought to mention that there was no WiFi available due to a fault. Considering it's advertised as a perk (and was definitely a consideration with children to entertain and studying/work to do), we were really disappointed by this and no alternative, nor discount was offered. The corridor and room were both tired, with flaky paintwork. They appeared relatively clean, but there was visible mould in the bathroom. Extra pillows and cups (normally provided as standard in other Premier Inns when using higher occupancy rooms) had to be requested from reception. The breakfast restaurant seemed to be in a tiny room, rather than in the adjacent public house. A number of options were unavailable (fruit salad, range of teas, granola, some fruit juices) on at least one of our two-day stay. The floor staff also seemed keener on chatting to each other, than in delivering made-to-order items in a timely manner. At no point was it busy. The car parking was free, well lit and felt secure.
