Lighthouse View Oceanfront Lodging

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Unit #318. We loved sitting in the comfy chairs on our deck overlooking the ocean. We couldn't believe how close we were to the beach! Sun, surf, ocean breezes, salt air, beautiful sunrises....perfection. Everything about our accommodation was top-notch, absolutely no complaints. Check-in and check-out was super easy through text messaging. This wasn't our first visit to Lighthouse View and it definitely won't be our last! We are hoping to return again next year ❤

Our cottage was very clean and the beds were comfortable ! We had a wonderful view of the beach from our deck and spent many evenings there. The cottage was just a few steps from the beach and we enjoyed watching the birds. Pamlico Sound was also lovely and had lots of water activities going on. We’d definitely stay here again!

I look forward to coming to lighthouse view every year. Rain or shine, this is a place like Heaven on earth for my family and I. Every time we come here, we cherish it so much and create memories for life. This is our home away from home and hold a dear spot in our hearts.

Two weeks of pure bliss; ocean sunrises, dolphins, free air show (thanks Norfolk, VA), shells-sea-sand-surf-sun. Never wanted to leave my balcony. Oh but had to leave to get the best seafood at all the super restaurants. Never had a bad meal. Oh, and get the oceanfront...so worth it.

We have been going to the Lighthouse View since the early 80s, and it has become a beloved family excursion. The views cannot be beat, and the accommodations are perfect for a family trip. It would be helpful if there were a wooden walkway built over the sandbags, as climbing over the sand can be difficult for people with joint or mobility issues.

First time visitor with my husband and toddler (2.5 yrs old) and additional family rented other cottages. This place was absolutely perfect for a mom’s needs! This was ideal for others traveling with large groups so you can have access to everyone but also time away. This helped give us breaks for our son when needed for naps or early bedtimes! The kitchen allowed us to cook a lot at home and save the stressful restaurant visits. Kitchen was fantastic had every utensil and pan you need to make anything! The beach was incredible for the adults but we went across the street maybe a mile or so down so we had low level waters for the baby to enjoy! He had a blast! The beds were so comfortable and linens were great! ! I was really stressed about this visit and it was honestly the best vacation we’ve had as a family since having our son! Can’t wait to visit again next summer and bring my side of the family down to enjoy!!

We’ve been coming to the OBX for 20 years and this was one of the top 3 places we’ve ever stayed! The Lighthouse View is an incredible place! The views of the ocean are stunning…don’t miss sunrise! The place is so clean and comfortable, the pool is long enough to swim my laps in the morning and the staff is the best! It feels like a true home away from home and we think we’ve found our new vacation spot in the OBX!

I had an excellent stay at Lighthouse View. The room I stayed in had a direct view of the ocean and beautiful sunrises each morning. At night the sounds of the surf right outside were relaxing. Everything inside my room was in great condition and comfortable. The staff communicated well before and during my stay, including giving excellent restaurant recommendations in the area. I would definitely stay here again should I have another opportunity to visit the Outer Banks!

We live in Miami and had never been to the Outer Banks. So, we had two choices to make, what area would we stay in, and where would we stay in the area we picked. Our journey is now over and it was wonderful. We decided to stay in Buxton, in the Southern Part of the Outer Banks. Staying in the Southern part turned out to be a lucky decision because the Northern Part, near Nags Head, seemed to be a bustling area which reminded me of Miami with all the malls and traffic on the main road. I'm so glad we picked the South and Buxton was a great location. The next decision was where to stay in Buxton. Again, kind of luck I suppose that we selected the Lighthouse View and had a room right on the ocean. It was a perfect choice. Clean, great view, homey, and good location to everything in the south. The ocean of course is the great attraction and there was plenty of ocean from our room!!! It was very hard to leave after our one week stay. I also felt a great sense of privacy. It seemed like "our place" the entire week. If we needed anything we sent text messages which were answered immediately. We really loved it! If you are not sure where to go on your first visit to the Outer Banks, I can tell you that Buxton and the Lighthouse View are excellent choices. You'll love it like we did!
