I am not sure who this bed and breakfast caters for or why the owner goes out of her way to deter guests. Awful experience from start to finish. I feel because it's an arts centre the B&B is secondary and it shows. Nobody wants to be greeted after a long drive by a host who tells you in detail how busy they are and how basically you are holding them up from getting on with more important things.

Booked by chance, I had the experience of a lifetime. The place is a continuous source of surprises and art works at every corner, in a perfect balance of composite, tidy disorder. The art works create a magic atmosphere, it seems to be in a different world. Cathy and John are super welcoming, and I was gifted with a peacock feather, that is now decorating my living room, while sipping a good Chardonnay and olives. We had dinner together and the conversation flowed smoothly through the most different topics. Peacocks were walking free in all their elegance at sunset. The room was lovely, clean, and decorated with paintings and exhibition posters, I could read the artist book that inspired the whole place, that was the perfect sleep. Breakfast the morning after was generous, tasty and well presented, served in a showroom of other beautiful, well assorted artworks in matching colours, just the perfect way to start the day. I took one last tour at the exhibition and voted my favourite piece of art and left a little piece of he-art in this hidden gem of Wales.
