Expectations were high due to previous reviews, but they were exceeded on our first day. This small luxury hotel with 8 rooms only, were set in a beautiful garden with a small outdor pool and a few sun loungers. The location was prime uphill, close to the foot of Table Mountain. We were embraced by a warm welcome at check in and served a glass of sparkling wine while waiting for our room to get ready. The weather was nice and sunny, so we enjoyed a few hours of sun by the pool in the garden. Our room located on the top floor was spacious with nice interior and balconies on both sides, one overlooking the city of Cape Town. Our housekeeper kept the room and bathroom impeccably clean and tidy. Very Comfortable beds with luxury bedlinen and nice throws. Designer items and contemporary art gives a nice impression and special touch throughout the hotel. The service was more than five stars from Gillian and Mathias and their team. Breakfast was delicious with a la carte menu and special coffees made to order. We had lunch one day, and the salads were really tasty. Free water supply in the minibar in our room, which was highly appreciated. The guys in security were kind and helped with luggage and even with the drivers when Bolt and Uber picked us up or delivered us back at the hotel. My sister and I agreed, we would be happy to return to Kensington Place one day.
