Avlon House Bed and Breakfast

While visiting in Carlow I chose this B&B because of its many well deserved good reviews. and it’s close proximity to Carlow town. My opinion of it It is that it is of 4 star hotel quality. From its meticulously maintained inside to its beautiful pictures, paintings and furnishings to its homely feel it could give any 4 star hotel a run for its money. No expense spared - a very good breakfast menu to suit all pallets and a very generous amount. Absolutely great value for money . Nicely decorated well heated bedroom with an array of nice toiletries - comb, dental , washables etc. equipped with a great sound quality TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Room was serviced every day to the highest standard. Tom was a marvellous host and I very much enjoyed our conversations during my stay. Highlight of my stay was getting a history and tour of the fabulous Christmas decorations meticulously placed throughout every corner of his lovely home that have very obviously been lovingly collected throughout many years . It was a sight to behold and gave the house a great Christmas feel. All in all a lovely stay and I’ll be back for sure. Thanks Tom.

Excellent B and B. Beautiful house, great amenities and only 5/ 10 minute walk into town and train station. The breakfast choices were numerous and all delicious. Tom is very attentive and knowledgeable of the area and ensures that the guests needs are met. Would recommend.

Plenty of parking, large room, comfy bed and attentive staff. The room was pleasant, clean and tidy. The breakfast choice was broad and had great food sourced locally. I stayed for business and found the room ideally located for my meetings and with desk space to work in the evening.
