Terra d'Amuri Hotel

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The host is excellent. Loads of local knowledge and advice about points of interest in Catania. Lots of thought has been put into providing comfortable rooms with everything you need. Breakfast is good with homemade products. The host also arranged a taxi to collect us from the bus station and to take us to the airport. The driver was helpful and reliable. Altogether a very pleasant stay in Catania. Would happily recommend

I usually make short reviews but for this last vacation to Sicily I have to do a little more. Location: located in the middle of Catania,close to the Dome and fish market. Staff: although we made a last minute decision to go to Sicily and had no plans, Loredana was there for us and helped us filling every day of our vacation within our timeframe. Breakfast: home made pastries made our day. Best pastries we ever had. Transfer: they provide transfer from/to airport with extra charge, not much different from taxi charge. Surroundings: if you want to visit the surroundings there is always Loredana who is the best guide to show the best of Sicily. Overall we've had what we expected and much more. What to expect: Very good welcoming, very nice and friendly, helpful stuff, good location, good trips . I highly recommend it. I’m not sure where to even start. I am a seasoned traveler and this was my first experience in Sicily, having spent time all over Italy over the last 2 decades. Terre D’Amuri came recommended to me via FB group. The hotel in itself is perfectly situated in the ❤️ of Catania, and is charming and authentic in decor- BUT the heart and soul of this place is the owner Loradana and her husband Alessandro. They are so incredibly hospitable and gracious is truly is like staying w family!! And family that you love 😜. She makes homemade breakfast every morning- just like being at nonna house. The care and love she puts into her guest is almost palpable. We also did 3 separate tours w her and they were beyond fabulous!!!!!! Once again on the tours she thinks of everything. The Mt.Etna tour- my friend and I did not have the proper clothes as it was 32 degrees and snowing. She brought us both her own jackets and hats and stored the in the car- just in case. Well, we never would have made it out of the car if she hadn’t. This is just one example of the extreme hospitality and thought that goes into all they do. If you do not book w them and do tours w them you are secretly missing out.

Loredana and Alessandro are the perfect hosts. Great location near the Duomo and fish markets with lots of eateries nearby. Delicious breakfast prepared by Loredana showcasing local cuisine. Huge room and comfy bed. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

My wife I traveled to Sicily and during that, stayed at the wonderful Terra D'Amuri for 5 nights in Catania. We are the type of travelers who appreciate an immersive cultural and culinary experiences during the days, but not want to compromise on modern conveniences at nights when it comes to our living essentials such as A/C, clean shower, Toilet and excellent bed. Terra D'Amuri in Catania delivered this for us and more. Here are the highlights: 1. The owners/ operators - Loradana (educated in the US) and her husband Alessandro are both consummate hosts. Would you believe that they met us at the train station in Catania upon our arrival from Polermo, drove us in their car to their place, checked us in, and gave us and orientation of their facility? 2. The Property - It is located in a 1000+ year old building on Via Guiseppe Garibaldi which runs somewhat east-west between the Piazza del Duomo and the Porta Garibaldi. It has imposing 12' tall massive doors on the street. You access your room from the east side door on the courtyard The building fits the neighborhood, or Catania in general with tremendous history and character. Except for the marble staircase, high ceilings with sweeping arches, the property is totally new, modern and very well designed. The location of the property is very good. Just 3-5 minutes walk to 4. The hospitality - Loradonna treated us like we were part of her family visiting her from abroad. Since she hosts a maximum of four guests at a time, each is assigned a table in the dining room. When you get to the dining room, you are greeted not only by the delicious breakfast items on "your" table, prepared by Loradonna but also by herself, to explain the dishes, your options, take your drink orders and discuss with you the day before and the day ahead. She was extremely helpful with all necessary local information to help us get the most out of our stay in Catania. It is true that we do not know if Terra D'Amuri is totally unique in their service, as we haven't stayed anywhere else in Catania. However, we feel like that we found the best there is. IMHO, you will be left feeling the same.

I couldn't have asked for a better stay in Catania! The second I set foot in Terra d'Amuri I felt at home. Loredana and family are so warm and welcoming, some of the most kind and genuine people I've met in my 6 weeks in Italy. The B&B is in a newly renovated historic palazzo compete with original tile floors, palatial rooms, arched ceilings with floral stucco work, and a lovely balance of antique and modern decor. Bathrooms are spotless, spacious and brand new. AC & wifi are impeccable. Breakfast includes everything you need plus home made tarts and jams. Location is super central - easy to walk everywhere! Views of the Duomo and Porta Garibaldi from the front door (or your balcony if you book room "Casa de Moro"). Loredana & family go above and beyond to help with anything you need and they really looked out for me as a solo female traveler. By the end of my stay I felt like I was part of the family! 1000% recommend!
