The Lordleaze Hotel and Restaurant

Absolutely lovely hotel. Always clean and well presented, I have stayed here several times over the years and its always my go to hotel when I’m working around the chard area. The hotel its self is clean and well maintained. The room I had on last visit was more than enough for my stay, comfy bed tidy clean room. I was staying all week Monday to Friday; room was cleaned daily and the bed re made every day. There are tea and coffee available, which was restocked each day there’s also hot choc and a biscuit. If you prefer fresh milk then just ask one of the staff and its no problem to get you a jug to take to your room. Every member of staff here is polite and helpful, nothing is to much trouble and will even take sometime to have a chat with you. The food, well your in for a treat, good well planed out menu to cater for all tastes, the quality of the food and the way its presented is exceptional, good size portions even the starters, cooked to perfection. I have a chili allergy and some dishes have this, I ask if I could have it but minus the chili and not a problem, the serving staff even double checked to be sure there wasn’t any in my food. All in all a great place to stay, I work away a lot and stay in a lot of hotels all over the country, so have a good idea for comparison, this is one of my favorite hotels to stay at and I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

The hotel is in a very quiet spot with sheep for neighbours. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Breakfast was lovely with a help yourself selection of juice , cereal and toast, as well as a decent selection of items to order. Such a treat to have freshly cooked items brought piping hot from the kitchen. There’s a cosy bar for dr8nks, and we had dinner one evening. Again, friendly serving staff, good menu choices, generous portions. A good base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Jurassic Coat.

We went for a meal . We loved the drive up to it among the fields . Such a nice welcome. The service was first class and the selection of food wonderful. We were not rushed and we loved that. The food was a good sized portion and cooked and looked wonderful . Amazing taste combinations. Definitely recommend and you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a pleasant experience. All the staff are really friendly and accommodating. The room was large enough and the bed was comfy. The shower had great water pressure and got really hot very quickly. The restaurant provides good food. We enjoyed the burgers 🍔! Overall would recommend visiting here and would stay again.

Very friendly atmosphere. Staff were all very welcoming and all very efficient. Excellent food enjoyed throughout our 4 night stay; we had breakfast and dinner each day and everything we ate was delicious! Our room was very cosy, warm, clean and had everything needed but decor could do with bringing up to date.
