It was nice and perfect

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We had room 12, accessed via the courtyard. The room was very very small and bathroom tiny; almost unusable. The bed was very uncomfortable and it was up against a wall. There was only six inches gap the other side so getting in and out of bed was a joke. There were obviously no bedside cabinets. There was wardrobe and a table. No heating, just a small plug in radiator. The room was freezing. The door was an external door so you stepped in directly from the courtyard. The carpet was dirty as a result. As a single room, it would be tiny. Don't bother if you are two and or have bags. Shocking place, overpriced, nothing like the website. My advice, personal of course , would be to avoid.

Pit stop stay but just perfect 7 minutes to airport very comfortable bed, immaculate room , cosy setting, and lovely lady greeted us on our late arrival .. small car park but we squeezed in , we loved it so thank you, will definitely book again .

Great location! Ten minutes / fifteen dollars from the airport. So warm and cozy. The hostess is lovely. I loved that on the third floor my bathroom had a skylight! Bed is comfortable. Space is clean. I will revisit. They have a lovely continental breakfast in a cozy sun room. So much better than a cold and sterile airport hotel.

What a find. So handy for the airport. Friendly host. Lovely clean room. Bathroom a wee bit 'tired' but perfectly serviceable with clean, fluffy decent sized towels. Everything we needed at a modest price. Restaurant not open for dinner but had a short walk to the Cinnamon Tree in Heald Green for an Indian which was excellent. Off too early to sample breakfast. Would recommend

For some it might be nice, but personally my self it was less then adequate. I was there for one night after flying in from the airport and needed a place to stay before catching the coach back home. Honestly Ive stayed in many hotels and this was by far the worst. The beds were way too soft and uncomfortable and very tiny for a single bed, you’d fall off if you moved too much. Decor was outdated, not to my taste. Wasn’t even greeted by the owner. when I did see her in the morning, she didn’t ask me anything or if we were ok had a nice stay etc. And the worst, I found personally was that they had no lifts, so I had two heavy luggage with me, so why would you give me a room on the top floor, knowing I would have two heavy luggage to carry? I was exhausted huffing and puffing carrying them to the top no one to help! Bad experience, over all I would never go there again! No response from host!

This is a nice little, well placed hotel, if a little tired….it isn’t however expensive to stay here. It’s oldy worldy, quaint / quirky and the landlady is very pleasant. We were allocated a loft room at the very top of the stairs. One of the flights was narrow and fairly steep. It was a bit awkward getting a small case up there. Once in the room it is presented fairly averagely, but it is clean. There is a decent TV and a sparse selection of tea/coffee sachets provided. The roof timbers are very low in the room we had……we didn’t, but it would be very easy to bump your head unless you were only 5’ tall. So all was ok mostly, but there is a BUT…..a fairly substantial one bearing in mind why we are here reviewing the hotel. The issue is the bed, it was a double. I think a lot of people have a King Size at home these days, and I don’t ever recall a hotel room for many years having less than a King Size. It was too small, but my biggest beef was with the woeful…..awful quilt. It just covered the bed so with two people in the bed it just didn’t cover us. This gave us one of the worst nights sleep in a long time as we both fought for cover. I have to say the pillows were atrocious also, way too soft and just not enough support even with two. My advice to the landlady is replace doubles with King Size beds, and if not, then please at least invest in King size duvets for your double beds. Also, you need to purchase better more supportive pillows. Had it not been for the small bed, and everything to do with the bed actually, I would have been happy with my stay. I feel this review is completely fair…..I have to be honest so people know what they might experience.

Very disappointed. We stayed for one night as we had an early flight from Manchester airport and were leaving at 4.45am. The room was nothing like any of the rooms on website. The room was accessed from outside and referred to as a Courtyard room. It was tiny with a very low ceiling such that when removing a jumper my hands hit the ceiling without my arms being straight. It seemed like perhaps a converted small garage. On a positive note it was clean as was the bedding. The other major issue is the car park. It is extremely small and tight. When we went to leave at 4.45am we had been jammed in by a large SUV. It would have been impossible to get out if I had been alone. As it was it took 15 mins as there was no room for manoeuvre due to angle wedged in. The room cost £97 for the night. I could not recommend.

Stayed overnight at pymgate Lodge Hotel on the 13th of December and we were made very welcome the room was clean and comfortable as was the rest of the hotel owners were very friendly only five minutes away from jet park 3 at Manchester Airport would stay there again Thanking you Mr Romans
