Casa del Pintor Chetumal

I immediately felt like at home in this accommodation. The house is creatively furnished and decorated. It has a outside space and an fully equipped kitchen. The rooms are very comfy and and I slept amazing in the bed. It's a quiet place, you can relax and you can still meet nice people and go to supermarkets and restaurants closed by. The WiFi also works perfectly. I worked online during my four-day stay and never had any problems with the internet connection. The owners of the house are super friendly and helpful! Really enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend it!

Convenient location between bus terminals, atm, shops and eateries. A very pleasant place to be. Clear instructions. Spacious and good beds. The host is genuinely caring and generous, without getting in the way. I can’t reasonably imagine someone not being at ease here and not getting infected by the lovely vibe. Many airbnb’s are just places to stay. This however is exactly the type of place that made airbnb valuable.

Casa del Pintor is about 20 minutes by foot from the ADO bus station, which is one reason we took it. If you are coming from Tulum, the taxi prices are much lower and you can take one there. We had minor troubles getting there with GPS but if you are on the right street you will see a little shop, the woman will know where to go (it's good to know a little bit of Spanish to understand). The casa is beautifully decorated with Temoc's paintings and murals. There is an instruction card with the house rules which are simple enough to follow and you are free to use the water and stove in the kitchen. Rooms and bathroom are clean and comfy to sleep in. Water takes 30mins to head up if you want a warm shower, just tell Temoc or his Mom. Temoc was super helpful and kind and helped us with planning our further journey to the south. You can also take the Taxi to the city centre and to Bacalar - which is about 300pesos (400pesos returning) or you can get the collectivo for even less. Originally we only wanted to stay one night but decided to stay longer because we felt very welcome.

We came here for one night, but we felt so welcomed and friendly treated that we stayed longer. Had a good time on the laguna in bachalar. Generally, the area seems to be more relaxed than tulum. Temok, the host, helped us in terms of transportation and was generous- like offering caffee in the morning etc.

Fue una estancia cómoda y agradable, los servicios están muy bien. La familia anfitriona es muy agradable. Muy bien ubicado, cercano a comercios y a 5 min de la terminal de autobuses. Recomendable para una estancia por días o de paso.

La casa del pintor de Chetumal, es un espacio muy acogedor, las instalaciones son limpias, las habitaciones amplias y grandes, las zonas comunes son agradables, el wifi es de buena calidad, tiene parking privado bajo solicitud. La habitación cuenta con TV y Netflix. Los baños son privados y cuentan con agua caliente. En general todo muy bien!
