Up front honest, room clean, grounds maintained. But customer service so poor. Should have known when we arrived... a nice looking sign on front counter saying we will be back momentarily. Yet, three counter staff were directly behind the counter, arguing. After a minute, one asks, Do you need something?. I said I was there to check in. Lobby had large gathering, very hard to hear. Young man helping me, Justin, what a poor attitude. No customer service skills...at all. Snippy, rude, condescending. Another employee had to tell me how to get to room, explained stairs location closest to room. I listened...then I asked about the elevator location since we had luggage and three flights of stairs. Justin, who had walked off, from 15 feet away interrupted her, to say elevator was out. They literally were planning not to say anything . Not the end of world but when Marriott does a customer service training video and wants to show horrible examples, we have our actors. Never welcomed me, no help with dining recommendations, no conversation, and Justin just seemed angry at the world. Breakfast was outstanding, check out and morning staff were awesome.
