Harbour Hotel & Spa Chichester

Visited Chichester for a couple of days and stayed in this really well located old dame of a hotel. Staff were excellent, however the hotel needs some TLC, damp patches on ceilings, maintenance required, but charming. The rooms at the front of the hotel are very hot and stuffy in warm sunny weather and no air conditioning, and windows can only be opened marginally. Good dinner and breakfast. Note car parking is very limited.

Wow I love this place how quaint and beautiful. This was my first time to Chichester, as an events company we get to stay in a lot of hotels but this is my favourite by far. Attention to detail is superb with free Gin and a coffee machine in the room. The king size bed was super comfy and cozy. The decor is just stunning and the staff attended to our every need. We arrived later in the evening and Laura was kind enough to keep the spa open for me so that I could use it after dinner which I really appreciated. The food was excellent from breakfast to dinner. The events team were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The room was great and ideal for our event. I can highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thank you for amazing customer service

STEPHEN KING’S FAWLTY TOWER Please do not read this review before you go to sleep. It will give you nightmares. Because the details about staying at the Harbour Hotel in Chichester are the stuff that real life terror is made. A seemingly nice veneer that houses a memorably incompetent staff (except for Angelina), ‘totally unacceptable customer service’, ‘broken promises’, ‘creepy experiences’, gravy-ed with former occupants’ trash and discarded tissues under the pullout. And bees. Now, before I get started with the grisly details, let me say that I know this might sound like a lot of ‘first world problems’. Because when you pay in excess of a 1000 quid a night, you expect the best. Also, understand, we are not rich. But, my son is a loving and over-doting workhouse who slaved away hard to make my dream of going to the Goodwood Revival in first class style for three days, come true. As a Birthday present to me. It was a decades-old dream of mine that he was making my reality. He worked. Saved. Scrimped. And made it happen. It was all a First Class experience except for the Harbour Hotel. The first nite. We are met at the desk by John, an effusive character. My son and I reassured him that ‘we are very low maintenance’. John escorted us to The Cottage off the alley in the back and the initial presentation was pretty terrific. The illusion began to unravel. There is no downstairs water except for the one bottle the hotel allotted. There was plenty of free gin. In a carafe with glasses. A free bottle on the dining room table. Free gin. Free gin. But, if you drink water more than gin, you have to go through the inconvenience of going to the upstairs bathroom and get filled up at the bathroom sink. Oooo, classy! I think the water to gin ratio is by design. Harbour Hotel doesn’t want you to notice ‘things’. They want you to be ‘blind drunk’, not hydrated. John showed us around. The downstairs bedroom. The bathroom. Where he proudly pointed out the television in the wall of the shower. He tried to turn it on. It didn’t react. He said he’d go get batteries. Like a flash, he was back and said the tv was working. ‘Anything else?’, ‘No. Thanks”. John splits. Quickly. Before we notice the next wrong thing. (I wish John had spent seconds on how to operate the shower and bath. Such a confusing task. Horribly designed. Daunting. Be careful with the shower. You get easily scalded. I defy anyone to get it right on multiple tries. Ridiculous). We ordered room service. Piffle. I asked my son, ‘What kind of meat was that in the salad?’ My son quickly answered, ‘I have no idea’. My son and I prep to go to sleep to get an early start at Goodwood Revival - Day 1. I just want a hot bath. John had said the tv was working. He was half-right. The audio was working, not the video. The sound coming out was an annoyingly ghost-like and hissing whisper between an invisible man and woman. Nails on a blackboard. I call John. On the spot, he returns and hit’s

So my new wife and I have just left this morning after spending 2 nights at the CHH. We had our ceremony and wedding reception in the Murray suite last night and after 2 years of planning with Kate and the team the whole event went fantastic. The rooms were incredible and the food we ate was top class. The arrival drink and Canapés went down really well and Whilst Megan who made sure we were kept updated on things and arranged the several changeovers of the room for each section of the wedding. The room looked fantastic and waitress service to our tables was smooth and kept all guests and family happy. We met a few of the locals in the bar who were incredibly nice and complementary of everyone's smart outfits. The priory park at the rear of CHH was an ideal spot for a photo opportunity and led by a Bagpiper we all strolled over to get a few snaps taken. Not one person from the whole day had a bad thing to day about the staff, venue, food,restaurant or rooms. I would like to thank the whole team at CHH for making our Special day so wonderful and would fully encourage anyone to use this Hotel for any event they want to make special. Thank you CHH

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to give a huge shout-out to Jane and Kate for making our daughter's 12th birthday with our family so incredibly special! They got her a lovely card, delicious chocolates, and her favorite pudding. You guys are amazing! And let's not forget how magical you made my fiancé's birthday in February! The way you made a fuss over him with his pudding and candles was just perfect. The singing from the other diners and team was epic! These are some of the many reasons we're so excited to get married at the Hotel in November. You all make us feel so valued and cared for. Your team truly is the best! Thanks a million! We came as a last minute stay to the Harbour Hotel in Chichester. The staff were really friendly and were always smiling. The room was out of this world. Just so beautiful and the bed was so comfy. The spa was just amazing. We had it to ourselves. It was truly relaxing and made us feel so chilled. The food was delicious and everyone made us feel welcome during the whole stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely stop off on way home from London. Large comfy bed and we both slept well. Lovely view from bedroom windows and hotel so calming. Complimentary gin in room which is a lovely touch. Breakfast was exceptional, went back to our room in a food coma.

I just wanted to mention Alice and Yasmine who are the therapists in the Spa. They gave excellent massages and are assets to the experience of the Spa. Professional, friendly, helpful and informative. I loved the products they used and had a most enjoyable time

Wow what a fabulous meal. We had three courses each and loved every one. Their service was excellent from Eve. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even adjusting the menu as I don't eat meat. Would 100% recommend here and cant wait to go back
