Stayed for 1 night on a stop over to the airport, excellent well apointed room with comfortable beds and good shower , all you need and expect for a short stay. The reception staff sorted out a booking problem for me prior to my arrival which was my fault but sorted with professionalism and saved the day for me many thanks. Overall a great place to stay I will return maybe for longer next time so I can explore the area

Golf society break over three days with two nights accommodation. The golf is excellent on both courses really challenging pretty course. Accommodation is ok clean tidy rooms, beds not the most comfortable and noisy depending on which room you get allocated. What lets this place down is the poor food provided to society’s in comparison to the bar menu it’s unnecessary I would prefer to pay more to enjoy my meal rather than eat the sub standard meal provided. To be fair the exception was the breakfast which was ok. I appreciate this might be a busy golf club but an attempt at providing some customer service wouldn’t hurt.

Spent the night before early flight out of Bristol. It’s a golf club with rooms rather than a hotel so don’t expect too much but the room was clean and perfectly adequate and the restaurant serves reasonable pub grub. Staff friendly and attentive.

We had our wedding at Mendip Spring on 06.07.24 & from start to finish we had a wonderful experience. Ciara the wedding coordinator was great at communicating & nothing was too much trouble. She worked tirelessly to make sure everything went to plan. We had a few requests for things outside of the wedding package & where possible Ciara made sure these were accommodated. The food was delicious & we had so many compliments on both the venue, the setting & the food. The new Bridal suite is stunning. All of the staff were brilliant. We had an amazing day! Thank you so much to Ciara, also special thanks to Riley who was working the bar during the evening, so many of our guests thought he was wonderful! Thank you so much all at Mendip Soring for helping us make it such a special day.

I booked a room with a view of the green and they gave me a room on a patio, behind the kitchen, with the noise of 3 or 4 cooling or air conditioning units on the kitchen walls. Rooms 1, 2 and 3 have a window and door overlooking the patio at the back of the kitchen, with noise from the cooling equipments 24 hours a day. Room 4 and "22" (?) have the entrances through that unpleasant patio. After complaining, they gave me room 4, with an entrance through that patio, but 2 windows on the other side with a view of the green. Outside those windows, they put a bench on one side. People walk by your window and sit on that bench all day. You can't have the curtains open because you lose all privacy. Disappointing, you go to a "country" hotel because you assume it's quiet and they give you a room next to all the noise of kitchen cooling equipments and with a window where people sit outside and constantly walk by.

I booked a room for us following our return from Majorca to Bristol airport very early on May31st. As well as booking on line I spoke to a receptionist on the telephone who advised me there would be no problem and there were 'out of hours'arrangements on the reception door including the light would be on in our room. There was no mention of us having to do anything else. Our flight was late and we arrived at the venue at 3.30am. I saw on arrival I had an email but was unable to confirm anything from abroad. There was a number to call if we had any problem but this number was unobtainable. The whole place was in darkness but we found the reception door with an emergency number- this also went to voicemail. A man spoke to us from an upstairs window who seemed amused we couldn't raise anyone and suggested the emergency contact was probably out and we should keep trying!! Eventually we left but on our return home I sent an email (31.5.24) and to date have had no response.

Not only convenient for golfers but also for travellers, as Bristol airport is only 15 min. away. Tariff is reasonable and there are some nice country pubs within 5 min. drive. Check in was processed at a bar and staff there were kind and helpful with sufficient information.

Booked a room at Mendip Spring so I could fly from Bristol Airport. The room was fantastic value, very comfortable and clean, the bar was very nice, as was the outside patio area. The simple menu was great value and delicious. Staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The rooms are comfortable but basic on a night they market ar 45/50 ok but not.the nights that are at 85 plus. The food and drink offering is average. The atmosphere not for those other than golfers. Staff quite young and not.much of a clue. Breakfast isn't included and I wouldn't bother with it.
