Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cleburne

Very clean and comfortable. The female front desk staff were very good. The males never looked up. The housekeepers definitely need to be trained. I was there for 18 days and never got the same service twice. My room was only cleaned once and my towels etc in the bathroom were hit and miss whether I received clean ones. I was overcharged four days of my stay.

Very clean and comfortable. The staff were very good. The breakfasts were stocked and fresh every day. If you can stay on an upper floor it would be good because the bottom rooms are a bit noisy but it is because of the upper people not the hotel itself.

This hotel was spotless, I don’t think I have ever stayed at a hotel this clean! The beds and pillows were VERY comfortable. Wide selection of food for breakfast. Friendly staff! Keep up the good work Holiday Inn! A+++

I don't know how to write this review because most of our experience was very good. We were only there for one night on a last minute trip to meet a family member. We booked the suite because we would have guests for a few hours and wanted a seating area. The room was larger than a regular hotel room, but a bit small as suites go. The staff was great. The breakfast was excellent as hotel breakfasts go, with many choices. The beds and sheets were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the surfaces of the furniture was clean, but the floor...the floor was not clean. The bathroom floor looked like it was only mopped in front of the toilet and tub. There were visible spill stains on the tile under the lavatory and it just looked a bit grungy, as if it had not been damp mopped in awhile. The carpet was pretty stained and dirty, as well, and needed a good cleaning. Ceiling fan and window also looked in need of cleaning. The sink area by the coffee pot was not wiped down a dead fruit fly laying there. The fruit fly was no problem, but it told me it hadn't been wiped down. At the price we paid for the room, which was a bit high, but a situation where we had no choice, I expected it to be clean. It doesn't have to be white-glove clean, but clean. Would I stay again? I don't know. It has a nice little fenced area with a basketball goal for the kids, a mini putt-putt golf green with golf clubs, and indoor pool and sauna. The pool water was milky - which is usually just pool chemicals being out of balance. The location seemed to be a safe area and it was quiet. Aldi's is just a few minutes up the road. That said, I've paid a lot less and stayed in much cleaner rooms. I don't care what a room looks like, as long as it's safe and clean. This room just looked like whomever cleaned it just hit the high spots and left the rest. The dust on the legs of the swivel chair has accumulated over a good bit of time.

This hotel was very convenient to get to. The breakfast was good, the beds comfortable and the staff very friendly. The only down fall they have is the parking. I would definitely stay here again though.

My disabled husband and I spent six nights at the Cleburne Holiday Inn Express. We were there to visit relatives and visit several times a year with extended stays in hotels. We thought we were fortunate to book an accessible room on the first floor. That feeling disappeared the very first morning. After a long day of driving we thought we would sleep in the first morning so I placed the Do not Disturb sign on the door in the morning so that we wouldn’t have to leave the room early. Ha! To my surprise, if you do that and remove it (even before noon) your room will not be cleaned. The front desk told me so. Day 2, Housekeeping showed up at 5:00 pm. Day 3, Housekeeping showed up at 5:00 (after I called) with towels. I asked to have the room made up and the bed was hastily made but nothing else. Day 4, no Housekeeping at all. Had to go to desk to retrieve towels. Day 5, (last night) after complaining to a manager, the room was totally serviced. There is no Handicapped parking near Room 102. And if things haven’t changed, don’t expect to sleep past 6:40am if you are in 102. You see that’s when long term tenants in the room above and their child wake up to get ready for work. I was told this by a male front desk staff member who was very unsympathetic to my need for sleep. The child ran back and forth above us and intermittently bounced a ball for between 1-2 hours each morning. I called the front desk several mornings but it didn’t impact the morning ritual. Our stay was over Labor Day Weekend with lots of kids in the pool and hot tub. On the Tuesday following the holiday, maintenance spent most of the day cleaning the area. However, there was no signage regarding maintenance activity that would alert a customer that the water was not ready for use. Outside of these issues, the hotel is kept up and breakfast was typical of HI Express fare. After I spoke with the manager my bill reflected a discount, however I was not told in person that that was the management decision. Perhaps the worst stay in a hotel for us….

I come to Cleburne a few times a year to visit a friend, and this is the only hotel I will stay at in the area. It has consistently met or exceeded my expectations. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the breakfasts are fantastic with a variety of options. I hope they will continue to maintain these standards and I will continue to be a loyal customer.
