Moselromantik Hotel Kessler Meyer

I stayed at the Hotel Keßler-Meyer for two nights in September 2023 with a friend. We had a very good time overall. We had room 4 in the main building, close to the reception, which was clean, spacious, stylishly decorated, and well-equipped with A/C, TV, safe, fridge, coffee maker, free Wi-Fi, hair dryer, bath robes, slippers, a sauna bag containing towels and a blanket, and even a hiking backpack with a refillable water bottle. The bathroom was clean and spacious as well. A nice selection of brand toiletries were provided. We had booked a package which included half board, a massage, a bottle of wine and one of water, a cocktail, plus free use of the spa area until 6 p.m. on the day of departure. The pool is quite small but was never very crowded. I often had it to myself. The spa area is nice, though rather small as well. It contains two saunas and a steam bath. Tea, water, and apples are provided free of charge. Breakfast was buffet style and was very good. There was a vast selection of items and most of them were of good quality, though we didn’t care for the falafel and humus. Didn’t try the fried eggs as they looked quite dry. Dinner on both days consisted of soup (two kinds to choose from), salad from a salad bar, main course (meat, fish, or vegetarian), and dessert (two options to choose from). We enjoyed the food, overall. My only criticism is firstly the fact that the same kind of soup was offered on the two consecutive days, so although it was good it was probably not freshly prepared on the second day, and secondly the horrible dessert on the second day, which consisted mainly of a marinated pear that was terribly dry. My friend couldn’t eat it at all, in fact. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did have our doubts about the massage as it was included in our package, but it turned out to be very good. When we checked out we were given a snack pack for the trip home consisting of two bottles of water, apples, and home-made cookies, which was a very nice touch. It takes about twenty minutes to walk to Cochem old town from the hotel, but it is a pleasant walk along the river. The walk to the castle looks steep, but it turned out to be easier than I had expected and took me less than half an hour. So I would say the hotel’s location isn’t bad. We had a view of the castle from our room. To sum it up, I warmly recommend this hotel and might return.

Zum zweiten Mal hier und gerne wieder! Die neuen Zimmer sind toll! Wellnessbereich und -anwendungen super! Eigentümer sehr freundlich. Weinprobe und Weinwanderung vor Ort perfekt! Restaurant hochpreisig, aber sehr sehr gut! Frühstück einfach super!

Sehr schönes Hotel Hotel und freundliches Personal. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis entspricht leider nicht einem 4 Sterne Superiore. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und sehr gut. Beim Abendessen versucht man den Eindruck eines Fine Dining, allerdings nur im Preis. Wir waren vom Geschmack der einzelnen Gänge etwas enttäuscht. (Liegt eventuell auch an den Erwartungen des einzelnen) Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und gepflegtes Zimmer mit Blick auf die Mosel und Cochem. Die Gegend an der Mosel ist sehr schön, leider noch nicht in voller Blüte. Leider kann ich persönlich das Hotel nicht als 4 Sterne Superior bildlinks weiterempfehlen.

Hôtel bien situé au calme . Tout est bien mais évitez absolument de prendre une chambre dans l’annexe : pas de climatisation, la Tv n’est visible que si on installe des fauteuils en face …! Robinet de la salle de bain mal fixés au lavabo , une chaleur dans la sdeb à se sentir mal . Dommage !

Unterbringung im Gästehaus zu einem Preis von 240 € ist eine Unverschämtheit. Charme der 70er, viele Treppen, Zimmer total altbacken und Badezimmer klein. Alleinig positiv ist das Ambiente in der Bar mit sehr engagierten und freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Das Essen war ok bis gut, auch wenn man wenig Auswahl beim Menü hat. Die Fahrradgarage ist derart klein, dass eins unserer Räder nicht mehr reinpasste und dann ganz woanders untergebracht werden musste. Pool klein und alt. Alles in allem total überhöhter Preis.

Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Die Sevicemitarbeiter*innen waren sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Wir hatten ein Well & Wine Arrangement gebucht. Frühstück und 3Gang Abendessen inclusive Salat und Käsebuffet waren lecker. Das Hotel liegt angenehm ruhig abseits des Touristentrubels oberhalb der Mosel. Der Wellness Bereich ist sehr schön, die Tee und Wasserbar komplettiert den positiven Eindruck. Kleine Unstimmigkeiten u. a. hinsichtlich der Terminierung von Wellnessbehandlungen und Abstimmungen hinsichtlich der Reinigung der Zimmer führten zu leichten Missstimmungen bei den Organisatoren.
