Otway Gate Motel

Graham was such a pleasure to deal with during our booking and our stay. Beautifully updated comfortable rooms. IGA 1 min walk away. Gorgeous town! Get down by the lake and gardens to see Jack for a good chai as you walk around. Cant wait for another trip to stay at this motel when we visit family near by.

My wife and I stayed for 1 night whilst visiting Colac. We arrived at about 9pm and whilst the office seemed closed the staff appeared and happily showed us to our room. The room was very clean and quite comfortable. Very happy and would certainly stay again.

Simply the best Motel in Melbourne! Me and my partner broke down in Otway park and had this accommodation booked for us through our insurance company for the night. All I can say is 6 stars! The rooms are clean, spacious, fully equipped and modern. The towels are lovely and fluffy and the toiletries provided are a thoughtful touch. There’s even a kettle, toaster and microwave! The owner and his partner are some of the kindest people you will ever meet! They even drove us to the shops to make sure we could get some food and drink as we had not eaten since our breakdown, and everything was closed by the time we arrived here. If you are looking for a Motel, Hotel, airBNB or any form of accommodation, look no further than Otway Gate Motel :)

We booked for two nights & it is not difficult to see why the "No Vacancy" sign was up for both nights. Graeme had done us a big favour, & when we arrived, he took us to our room, showed us how the TV & WiFi worked, & generally made us feel very welcome. Our room was spotless & very well appointed- TV, kettle, toaster, luxurious towels, spotless bathroom, all made for a very comfortable stay. Parking was right outside our door& our room was well away from the road so there was no traffic noiseThere is a guests' laundry & BBQ area, although we used neither. Graeme suggested where we should eat & where we shouldn't & his recommendation for the former was spot on. After the first night, our room was serviced which came as a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was available if required. Overall, we were delighted & next time we are in Colac, we will be making a beeline to the Otway Gate. Rick R

This is a great motel. Rooms are clean, modern and spacious. Plenty of cupboards to store things. Good size parking spaces that are easy to get in and out of. The owner is friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Found this motel to be very welcoming, with comfortable beds and a nice cosy room. There was enough space for all three adults. A table and three chairs as well as crockery, glassware and cutlery made eating in the room comfortable. Booked directly with the motel and received an excellent rate.
