My husband and I really enjoyed are stay. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Rooms are very very clean and the bed and pillows are so comfortable. So many stores close by. Everything you can thunk of is right there. .. we will go back again.

Buckle up, this is a long one but honest and true. The room was clean "enough." The beds and bathroom appeared clean except for a few stray hairs in the shower. I did buy cleaner and disinfectant to wipe down the desk, counter and microwave area surfaces that had food remnants and dust on them. After cleaning, I generally maintain cleanliness of the room to avoid any possible cross-contamination from housekeeping when I'll be there for a while. On day 4 of my stay, without having had the room serviced yet during my stay, on my way in, I stopped at the front desk and asked for a couple washcloths. The room had 3 towels when I arrived and I was going to request service for the next day. The front desk associate asked for my room # and looked it up in the computer. She said I should have fresh linens (they service rooms every 3 days) and I informed her that I should not since I had the privacy sign on the door. She went back into the computer tapping away and looking at the screen until I had to ask her if there's a limit on washcloths. She said she'd get me some and continued to engage on the computer. At that point I told her never mind and ended up going to the store to buy washcloths. In passing, on my way to the store, I asked the associate for her name. She provided it, Sherell [sp], and asked me if I wanted her to spell it. I told her no and left. Every day thereafter, I got hostile stares or no greeting and was completely ignored by this staff member. This actually didn't bother me. Fast forward a few days. I decided to relocate and requested a late checkout since I needed more time to pack up. I was told by Miss Sherell when I called the front desk, that the hotel was fully booked and so I couldn't get a late checkout. I asked if I was being told that the room that I was in and not scheduled to checkout of for another few weeks had been booked. I was put on hold and then provided with a 1PM checkout. Ironically, I checked in the app and could've booked 3 rooms in the hotel for the night. Fast forward to checkout time... I'd passed the front desk and saw Miss Sherell sitting behind it on my way out to put my things in my car, however, when I got back to the front desk to actually checkout, a housekeeping staff member was at the desk instead of Miss Sherell. The housekeeping staff offered to check me out because Miss Sherell was in the restroom. Oh, ok. Sure. However, she couldn't check me out. Obviously, not her job. She went off to a little room on the side to let whomever was in there know that she couldn't get me checked out. While I waited some more, someone sent my receipt to the printer at the front. I asked to speak with the manager. I was told the manager wasn't there but the GM was but I should take her card and give her a call later. Uh, ok! I called Bonvoy, had a 15 minute phone conversation before the GM emerged from the back, peeking around the corner and asked if I needed something. Whew chile! I explained my iss

Since my arrival Front desk agent not welcoming, my room was under the Marriott Standards, No Bath soap in the bathroom, My fridge’s not cooling and have a big block of ice. Leaking ceiling, bathroom door lock not working properly, need Maintenance in this room ASAP.

This property does not communicate with corporate Fairfield Inn/Marriott and on-site employees tell you that after your reservation has been paid. You are taking a risk by staying here because you may arrive to find you can't check in or the bed configuration reserved is not what they assign you upon arrival. I can not believe a name brand hotel like Marriott has this high level off bad or no communication. You have many other options at the same price point in the Harbison area. I suggest you consider other options.

First of all, I booked a King room via the Marriott app. When I arrived, I was told it was not available & was given the option of a queen or 2 full beds. I chose the queen option. I noticed the room smelled like stale cigars upon entering, but it was so late at night, traveling w/ a toddler who was already nearly asleep so I didn't think much of it. We just wanted to get to bed. At checkout, I alerted the staff via the app about the smell. I was promptly informed that WE smoked in the room and charged my card a $250 "Smoke Free Environment Fee". Keep in mind, I have never smoked a day in my life, my husband does smokeLESS tobacco, and my toddler surely does not smoke. Hotel manager claims that the GM checked the room before we entered with housekeeping checking it after we left. ZERO evidence was provided to me. Corporate has been zero help and the manager is nothing but hostile. Definitely avoid unless you want to pay $300+ for a $100 room.

I cannot pretend to understand what is going on with the operation of this hotel, but I suspect it is grossly understaffed and the staff that is there is overworked. I say this with because in my four nights stay there, never one time did housekeeping even attempt to service my room, the desk staff practically gave me dirty looks every time I passed by them almost daring me to need something and utterly indifferent when I did need something. What did I need? To do laundry. So, note of warning- if you would like to do your own laundry using their machines available to guest, pack quarters. They do not have any quarters to break a dollar of five-dollar bill for you. Why provide them if we cannot USE them? The room- simply put was gross. The bathroom countertop was separating from the wall- and the fix appeared to be nothing but jamming it full of caulk that is also splitting and creating traps for mildew and dust. No trash can in the bathroom, lighting was as awful as a rest area, the mattress sinks down to the box spring the second you put any weight on it. The wi-fi was also down three of the four days I was there, I looked over the other reviews here and see that this is common- so please don't need wi-fi if you plan to stay here. I have previously stayed at the Residence Inn just a couple miles from here- save yourself and spend the extra money, it is well worth it until this hotel is managed better you would be best served to avoid it.

Check in for the night. Nite clerk was great. Breakfast was the worst we ever had. pre pack boiled eggs, egg in a spongy muffin, cold sausage. When breakfast lady ask how it was, I said "not great." she then leashed a barrage of insults on me. In all my travels, I have never encountered such, and then from a Marriot. Read other reviews here about rude staff and bad breakfast. I travel a lot but would never stay here again. The morning desk clerk, Celine, was also very rude.

For the first time in a long time, I did not receive a request to provide Marriott hotel feedback and I think it's obvious why. This Fairfield Marriott was abysmal. From the start, it was a disappointment, it smelled terrible when you walked in the door. The young man that checked us in was friendly though. Overall, I was very disappointed in our stay at this hotel. This Fairfield doesn't even come close to the Marriott standard, not even remotely close. Our first room smelled like mold and mildew. We requested a new room and luckily the front desk associate who was working that evening was able to accommodate us. He was very nice, so this should not reflect on him. The following morning, while breakfast is intended to be until 9:30am, by 8:30, there was barely any food left, beyond yogurt. The whole "oatmeal your way" is a joke as there was nothing to put on the oatmeal. The person working the front desk was busy staring at their phone the entire 30 minutes we sat in the lobby and when I asked her about breakfast items, she simply responded with, "It's what is out there." She really did not appear to care that she was there at all. It was really shocking and not at all like my usual Marriott hotel experience. I've been a Marriott hotel member for over 30 years and have stayed at many properties in the last few years (Residence Inn, Fairfield, Westin, Photograph Collection, etc) as they are my first choice, but I can't even believe this is considered a Marriott property. This looks like it is a very aged facility that they tried to make look nice, however, it simply does not meet Marriott standards and needs to be cut loose from the chain. Don't stay here. Stay at the Residence Inn down the street or the Hampton Inn in the area. Both are way better.
