We've stayed at several Columbus hotels, and the Holiday Inn could be the best so far. But small issues limit our enthusiasm. The TV remote in our first room didn't work, to the point that we couldn't even turn the TV off, and wound up unplugging it for the night. The front desk clerk tried her best to help, but no luck. We asked for someone to fix it the next day while we were out, but the TV was still permanently on when we returned, with no explanation why or whether anyone had attempted to fix it. We moved to a different room. The next issue was the need to have the room key reprogrammed ... at least three times. The explanation was that they didn't know when we were checking out, apparently not checking our reservation. Finally, we went to use the laundry facilities, only to find they didn't have soap available to purchase. "The owner has a budget, and we can't buy more now," we were told. Doies the "owner" not understand that the laundry won't generate any income or guest satisfaction if guests can't use it? Small issues that limit our rating Holiday Inn. Easy and cheap to address if the "owner" reads these reviews and responds.
