Encantadora casa, silenciosa.

What a lovely place! The staff are so helpful and welcoming; the food from the restaurant is delicious; I had the best mojito with mint that was picked from their garden. And, they left us a personalized note at the table wishing us well on the rest of our trip (see the pic). Details matter and they nailed it on the details with the fresh flowers in the room and the beautifully decorated hand soaps. They even have a pool table!

This hotel is absolutely magical. From the moment you step through the doors off the street you feel you are removed to a Spanish hacienda back in time. The courtyard is gorgeous, filled with flowers and trees and a large fountain. The rooms surround the courtyard and are well appointed (although the bathrooms are quite small and the rooms can be tight). The breakfast is served onsite at the restaurant and there are many choices and the food is fresh and delicious! The tiny onsite bar is possibly the most adorable setting in the whole place, staffed with lovely waiters who will provide anything you need. The hotel is in the absolute perfect location, directly across from the town square, and within walking distance from everything.

I really loved this hotel, so I’m giving it five stars even though right now it has a problem, which is noisy construction next door that goes on all day long. I’m hoping this construction doesn’t last too long because I want to come back and stay here again. It’s a beautiful colonial style Hotel and has cozy, nooks to enjoy on the covered patio and in the small garden. Even though you’re in the heart of the city, you feel like you’re in a little oasis there. Our room was quite small, but adequate. The furnishings were quaint, but the beds were comfortable. One covered but open air room was dedicated to a billiard table, but also had cozy reading chairs with good light which I really appreciated. It was a cozy nook to enjoy when it was raining outside. We did not eat in the dining room, but it looked attractive. Every day, the staff would set a breakfast table for us outdoors, and the included breakfast gave you a choice of three simple meals. If I recall correctly, we were checked in by a young man, who spoke English however, we never encountered another employee who spoke a word of English, and I would say this would be something that they should rectify. If foreign tourism is going to continue to grow, then, their staff needs to take English classes. I was able to communicate with them in Spanish and everyone who worked there was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had a drink in the. tiny bar on one rainy night, and it’s a cute place. The prices were good. I was disappointed that my piña colada did not have fresh coconut in it, but it did have fresh pineapple. The location is great right in the heart of town. Steps from restaurants and shopping. I hope I have a chance to come back. We paid $110 per night in the rainy season, which is considered the low season, which makes this one of the priciest hotels in town but for us it was worth it. Our room had air-conditioning, but on the cool mountain nights, we didn’t need it. Our overhead fan was sufficient.

Beautiful historical hotel with a restaurant. Friendly staff very attentive at all times. Separate private lot to park cars security at all times, full breakfast included. I stayed there 5/20/23 while participating for a 30K in Ataco a quaint little town. Full of life during the night with lots to do including atv rentals.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during a recent trip to Central America. The hotel is in a good location, less than a block from the main square. We stayed in the Dona Maria suite. It was large and very nicely appointed. The room had a television but we couldn’t access cable television. Street noise was a huge problem - noise at all hours (trucks, roosters, huge number of barking dogs). Breakfast was included in our room rate. You can choose a hot breakfast, continental or light breakfast. The hot option was good. The others were disappointing. You have to pre-order breakfast the day before. You have to chase someone down to pre-order. It would be a lot simpler if they left the menu in your room and you could drop it off at the reception desk. Service was generally good but no one speaks English so communication was sometimes difficult. I don’t expect everyone to speak English but high- end hotels usually have one person who does. We paid about $130 per night which was a great value considering the quality of the room and the location of the hotel.

This place was pretty charming, we decided to visit them during the week, and for our fortune we were very few visitors that day, resulting in a very personalized experience but from what I Gather they take care of all the small details which I wouldn’t disclose since part of the charm is to discover them as you go.

Cada Degraciela is simply breathtaking. Its rooms are clean, comfortable and charming. The hotel’s location is key for a beautiful stay. Finally, the hotel’s staff was friendly and the service provided was perfect!

A magical, secluded hideaway in the heart of Ataco. I picked this place based on reviews and it did not disappoint. The place truly is special. Full of history and artifacts. The rooms are super cozy, comfortable, well appointed. The breakfast is delicious. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Staff are well intentioned and very nice, they try to provide the top notch proactive service, but occasionally do quite get there. Nonetheless, I was thoroughly impressed and not a request too grand or much, and if they were not proactive, just find them/ call them and you'll receive immediate service. I was sad the rooftop patio was under renovation while I was there. However, enjoyed spending my evenings in various parts of the small courtyard and gardens enjoying my drinks and the beautiful starry Ataco sky. It is hard to describe the beauty, serenity, and magic of the place, one just has to visit to experience it for yourself.
