Edgewater Inn and Suites

They have a lot of renovations going on but our room was quiet, big, clean and comfortable. It had a microwave, mini fridge and big smart TV. We enjoyed the rain shower and nice thick towels. Staff were all friendly. 24 hour coffee and tea bar was great. I liked that it so close to Safeway grocery where we bought some hot food for dinner and breakfast. Will book here again if we go to Coos Bay on the future.

We have stayed multiple times. The upstairs balcony rooms offer a great view of seabirds and animals across the estuary. The rooms are very spacious, more so than many places we stay. Check-in was fast and amenities were good. We had plenty of furniture and tables to play board games. The King bed was very good and an assortment of pillows to satisfy any sleeper. Right nearby was Safeway and Fred Meyer for anything else you would need, or a quiet pathway to downtown. Amber was cheerful and quick to supply anything we forgot!

A fair hotel for the price for our one-night stay. The check-in staff were welcoming and efficient and the room was fairly standard with a nice view over the river. Parking was easy and it was great to be adjacent to Safeway to pick up some essentials for our roadtrip. Please note that the hotel does not have elevators.

Horrible place for handicapped people no smoking on property i smoke for severe pain you have to go off property or they charge 250 dollars if you don't they need to put this all in there discretion of these things Horrible Horrible don't go there you'll be sorry not real clean and it smells we are leaving instead of staying one more night which is 125 dollars down the drain

This hotel offers river view rooms and the view is relaxing. Ground floor rooms on the water have a patio that you can share with friends. Rooms are large, quiet, and clean. Two negatives if you are considering this hotel for an extended stay. It has no laundry facilities and coin laundries in this town are at least a mile away and most close around 6 PM. Also the rooms have no closet or even a bare bar to hang clothing on hangers (bring your own).

We enjoyed this hotel. It’s been recently renovated and our room was comfortable and clean. The water view is of Coos Bay and at low tide can look a bit muddy, but it is what it is. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. No continental breakfast, but we weren’t expecting that. Coffee in the lobby was good and hot. The bed was very comfortable. Water was hot. It was good!

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The hotel, especially the room, was very clean. There were plenty of towels, great lighting and soft pillows. There were high quality toiletries, like make up remover, which was a pleasant surprise. We found the hotel was quiet at night. We were thanked for choosing this hotel for our stay, which we experienced no where else on our vacation. We highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I have stayed here in the past. Our stay this time was for three nights, at a cost of almost $600. We appreciated the newly remodeled hotel. Bathroom structures are modern and the bathtub shower was nice. The room is simple. Basic. We had a deck with a patio door with screen. We had to leave the screen open all night. The air conditioning was horrible. The fan only heated the room. Average outdoor temperature was 63. The overstuffed, pillow mattress seemed nice the first night, but it became obvious the next two nights were miserable. It was hard to roll over, turn over and created a mound in the middle. The main reason for my complaint is that the service was questionable. The first morning, the room clerk provided new towels and took our used towels and emptied the garbage. However, when we returned for the third night, no maid service was provided at all. There were no new towels and the used were still on the ground. It was obvious no one had entered. We did not leave a do not disturb sign. If there was a policy of providing cleaning, nothing was in writing. We had to leave to meet others and could not talk to the desk clerk. We will not return. It was too expensive for the service that we received.

The front desk person was in the parking lot as we entered to check in, she yelled from the parking lot “are you guys checking in”? She followed us inside to check in. As we were checking in another guest came in to tell her that her tv was still not working, she stopped to argue with her. Our tv did not work, and after 3 visited from”Danny” we moved rooms and they would not refund the difference (we paid for a water view room, but the TV did not work, so the room we moved to was not water view, that is what we paid for) , also, outside doors are unlocked 24 hours....i asked front desk if they lock after hours and he said no, but the have video camera near the doors, VERY UNSAFE .staff is not trained in customer service at all, Beware...don’t stay here!
