Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa

Just returned from a fabulous 5 night stay at Inchydoney! We stayed in the apartments which were very comfortable and ideal if travelling with small children. We ate in the bar on numerous occasions- beautiful chicken curry, king prawns, beef medallions. Breakfast as always was very enjoyable. Looking forward to returning next year! Overall-great accomodation, excellent food and lovely staff 🙌

There was terrible rude staff in the bar that i have never seen at any hotel i have been, and also the bar was filthy 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Wow... We stay for 3 nights in early December for my best friends wedding. It was one of the best hotels I stayed in Ireland. Staff is extremely friendly, and nothing seems to be too much. From hosts to bar service, from housekeeping to public area staff, they all seem very happy and always very helpful. Food was spectacular. Breakfast, room service, bar restaurant, and the wedding meal, standards are excellent. Jenny, I believe, is a star alone. She was just a look away from anything you would need. I work in hospitality myself, and I keep saying that sometimes it is better to be a great 4 star than a poor 5 star. What you have there is really, really good. Thank you for everything, and yes, we will definitely see you soon.

I have wanted to go for afternoon Tea at Incheydoney Lodge and Spa for a long time after often witnessing other people having afternoon tea here which always looked great . I finally got to go for Afternoon Tea today but I was very disappointed with the standard of the food. Only one type of sandwich and only a couple of them and the other savoury items were very poor The menu said there would be crispy prawns which we didn’t even get and no replacement . We had to ask for a pot of tea and butter for the scones . There were not really that many sweet things compared with other hotels where we have had some fabulous AT’s and all the sweet things were very small . We had a voucher as a present thank goodness as I would not have been happy paying for the afternoon tea with the standard being so low . I did ask if we could have some more cakes but were told we would have to be charged for anything else we got. I love The lodge & Spa and have stayed there and had food many a time and have nearly always been very happy with the standard and service so it pains me to have to give this bad review & I feel quite sad that have to but it’s not right to only write the good reviews and not the bad.

We had the best night away. The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly and down to earth. The welcome tipple was fabulous in front of a roaring red fire. Food was gorgeous in the bistro. Our room was perfect with a spectacular view of the beach and the beautiful sunrise in the morning. The homemade jam on departure was the nicest touch. We will definitely be back. Thank you

From the welcome you receive on arrival to your departure, you are certainly treated by friendly down to earth staff. Food and service excellent. Views at breakfast time were spectacular. Would highly recommend and looking forward to our return visit next year.
