Stayed there for more than two weeks, a lovely resort with bungalows and apartments in a Canarian style, good services like laundry, animation, several nice pools including a big heated one. Had an apartment on 4th floor with a large terrace and lounge chair - didn’t have to go to pool to get some suntan! The furniture a little outdated but the only big problem- there were lots of sweet ants running around the kitchen, had to have a cleaner to spray the place around. Still, a nice place once this was tackled

We have passed this hotel many times over the years of holidaying in Tenerife, but this is the first time we have stayed in it. We would definitely return! Clean, spacious resort and accommodation, friendly staff, delicious food, lovely heated pools. We stayed half board (breakfast and evening meal) and had lunches out. To eat lunch at the hotel if you are half board is very pricey so I would advise self catering in your own apartment/bungalow/villa or going out. Drinks were included with breakfast but any other time we had to pay for them. Fairly reasonably priced and a very good range. There are 3 pools, all heated. The main pool has a shallow end which is roped off for the little ones, and those who need shallower water. There’s a baby pool with a lovely playhouse and slides in, half under cover of shade. Then there’s another pool at the top end of the resort, which is smaller than the main pool but still a decent size and is quieter than the main pool. Sunlounger-wise, the main pool is where the race for a sun lounger is most prominent! If you want a front row lounger, you’ll need to be waiting there by 0945 for rope-drop at 1000. If you’re not bothered if you’re second row back, or more, there’s no issue. The baby pool and top pool had no such issues at all. There are security guards around the pool just wandering round checking no one has reserved a sun lounger, so no towels on one and no sitting on one, or you’ll get told off! You can have free pool towels, some of the lifeguards ask for your room number, others don’t (all a by odd seeing as you return the wet ones into a big basket and they aren’t monitoring your room number on return) The entertainment reps are fab. TUI have their own kids club but the reps join in with the hotel reps for events. The hotel kids club team were fantastic, we weren’t with TUI so can’t comment on them. Our daughter loved Mario and Adele. They did lovely artwork, dancing, games and the water fun was great, too, with inflatables and water mats for all to use, not just kids club. There’s a bouncy castle, zip wire, football pitch (small) and climbing frames with slides up near the top pool, and a small soft play for age up to 8 years old. Evening entertainment was varied and all very good. There’s a kids club disco some evenings which we did not go to as our daughter doesn’t like loud music but we saw the end of one one evening and it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves. The location of this hotel is great as it is off the main front , which is busy and can be noisy, but not so far back that you’re out of the way and have to get a taxi to go anywhere. We walked into town and along the front, both ways, most evenings. Del Douqe is lovely and very affluent and Adeje/Fanabe/colon is very varied as you go along/through and there’s beautiful beaches all along. If you fancy a long walk, you can walk from Del Douqe through adeje, Fañabe, puerto colon, las Americas, through to Los christ

There were some issues which made me feel I could rate no more than a 3 star at best. First the positives Very clean hotel and grounds. People constantly cleaning and all the flowers/bushes/plants look very well cared for. Really lovely looking Canarian Style village style buildings and grounds. Having a kitchenette in the room was a nice touch along with a good working fridge. Shower was nice and powerful. Balcony in our apartment was very spacious with great views of the main pool and the sea. Food was fabulous. We went half board. There were 6 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. If we had of gone all inclusive, maybe the food would have felt a bit repeated but I would have a better strategy of what to put on my plate each meal to make sure it was always something different. Pools were lovely and clean. Hotel is very close to the main ***** and beach with a supermarket almost on your doorstep. Now the negatives Although a lovey dated traditional canary village look and feel about the place that does not give the excuse to have very dated and unsafe accommodation with sockets hanging off walls and stained bath tubs that have been painted and plastered so many times that the plug holes were just about visible. Filler and sealant peeling off edges and around the mirrors. The air conditioning that only worked in one room rattled like there was a coin clanging about in a turned on tumble dryer but to be fair it did keep the whole apartment nice and cool. Was unimpressed with sun-bed wars at the main pool which opened at 10am (stupid time really) which could have easily been sorted by the hotel. I went to put my towels down and some man threw his towels down from a further distance resulting in a confrontation. In the high season there’s just too many people for the pools making it almost unbearable to want to be around them. The smaller pool was a calmer and towards the end of the holiday be got sun-beds without any problem but not as big or as deep as the main one. Was also extremely disappointed to find that booking half board didn’t include squash, tea or coffee and especially WATER with your meals which I thought was standard issue. For a hot country, water at least should be freely available. So, although there was some great things about this hotel, unfortunately for me the negatives far outweigh the positives which is a real shame because these things could easily be rectified like updating the rooms, offering at least water with your meals & sorting out the sun-bed wars and silly opening time for the pool. If you do decide to stay, my room was 317.

Would highly recommend for a family holiday. The Animation Team are fabulous!! My 3 kids 6,7 and 9 all absolutely loved the kids club and the mini disco. Adele (aka Elsa) is brilliant with a fab sense of humour. My kids took a real shine to the 2 Marios. Thank you all for making my kids holiday ❤️ Food is ok with lots to choose from. Some evening entertainment great, some slightly questionable. But definitely gives you a giggle! This is our second visit.
