Crover House Hotel & Golf Club

We attended a wedding in the hotel last weekend and I have to say from the minute we arrived to be greeted by Liam (such a lovely pleasant man) to the day we left we received excellent service. A big shout out to all of the staff who were so pleasant and attentive at all times. And I also need to mention the food that we received all weekend which was outstanding, we really could find no fault. We will definitely pay another visit to the hotel for a nice weekend away. I could no recommend it highly enough.

Excellent for my very restricted diet with severe allergies, & on very short notice. I only got confirmation I could attend a Wedding there 2 days before the event. Food was delicious, staff very reassuring about it. Even with how busy a Wedding is the manager came out to discuss my food. Thank you!

Myself, Husband and 2 children had the most wonderful 4 night stay at the Crover House Hotel. Its an absolutely stunning hotel, the grounds are just amazing right surrounded by Lough Sheelin. Upon arrival you are greeted by Liam who was waiting outside all dressed up suited and booted to welcome us. The receptionist was lovely. The rooms are spotless with all amenities expected from a hotel of this calibre. The bar is lovely, we would have a drink or two before dinner each evening. Now the food, where to start. If you love fish/seafood, then the chowder is absolutely to die for. I had it 2 nights in a row (couldnt help it) and the fish and chips are delish. My husband is a steak lover so had the steak which he devoured. Second night we sampled the wings which were to die for and the hubby went for the feathered beef whilst the kids being kids had the burgers and chips, desserts for the kids were popcorn ice cream (a strange combo) but the kids had it 3 nights in a row :). Myself and the hubby had the cheesecake. The house red is a delicious wine and would highly recommend it. The staff in the restaurant work very very hard and ensured that all the guests were taken care off. Its a quite get away, the hubby headed off for a few games of golf whilst myself and the kids went into the woods for a walk and then down by the lake. There is a beautiful log cabin right down by the river which i am told is where the wedding guests can stay. It apparently can sleep 7/8 people and overlooks the lake. I can highly recommend this hotel. I can only imagine if you were to get married here its picture perfect. For us we wanted a quiet (chilled) getaway with delicious food and drink and genuinely thats what we got. I would give this hotel 10 stars and have every intention to come back again. Kudos to the staff who genuinely are all friendly and cannot do enough for their customers. We will be back !!

Lovely hotel with lovely staff and even better food..we had a great family weekend in the crover and where made feel like it was a home away from home..the staff are so nice and attentive..the food is really good and well priced..the chowder is to die for and the steak on a stone was amazing.The kids really enjoyed the food and the variety of ice-cream to choose from for dessert..wifi in the hotel is really good too..we will definitely be back

We attended a wedding. The setting was exactly what you would expect. Views and back drop for exceptional photos. Beautiful atmosphere the ambience was perfect . As the evening drew we were taking outside for some more magical photos . An array of small lit up archways that lead down to where the water lapped in. Staff could not have been more helpful. The. Manageress in question on the occasion was exceptionally good at a job. But highly recommended for a meal purely for the views or any special occasion .

A wonderful haven of peace, tranquility and great food. We love it there. The staff are always upbeat no matter the weather and nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel like you’re staying with a lovely group of friends. If you’re looking to feel pampered and looked after Crover House is the place.

I had visited the Crover many years back and was impressed by its location on the shores of Lough Sheelin. On that occasion back in 2019 while the location was Lovely the food and service left a lot to be desired. No such complaints this time round. The Crover has given itself a serious kick up the behind. The food and service has jumped to a whole new level. Breakfast was outstanding and thanks to the care of our breakfast host Vanessa we settled into the pure bliss that was the breakfast menu and food that followed. Things just got better from there . The bar and lobby were Lovely and outdoor seating over looking the lake was something that won't be forgotten. Rooms were huge and we'll appointed and we shall certainly return to the Crover in the very near future. A place that won't disappoint...Top marks

This was our fourth time back to Crover house and have to say never we're never disappointed, the staff are excellent from reception to bar and restaurant staff, one lovely girl in housekeeping sorry I didn't catch her name,in short, rooms lovely ,food excellent this hotel is a little gem we will be back again.

The staff are extremely helpful and will do their best to accommodate your needs. The food is delicious with a great vegan/vegetarian menu,also chips are cooked in separate fryer to meat products, great for vegetarians and gluten intolerant. I love when it's a buffet breakfast as instead of asking for 4 eggs and lots of toast,no sausage rasher black white pudding I can just get it myself, would always prefer a buffet breakfast😋😋
