This was our first trip to Gettysburg, and I wanted to stay in a place that had a bit of character and history. Not only is this bed and breakfast situated on beautiful land, the appointments to the main house and the Tack Room, where we stayed, were very thoughtful and in tune with Civil War history. The breakfast was very nice, and I highly recommend staying for the lecture that is given by battlefield historians directly after breakfast. The historian on our trip was extremely knowledgeable, and had many period artifacts that were fascinating. I learned a great deal about the house and its history, and staying in the Tack Room was very nice, spacious room with giant bathroom and jetted garden tub and right next to the horse corral where I made some new horse friends. The staff was excellent, very attentive but not intrusive, and brought us a nice to-go breakfast on a day we could not make it to the main house due to a tour time. Lovely stay, would recommend highly.

Such a welcoming group of individuals. Definitely everybody goes above and beyond for the guests. Very clean, bed was super comfy ...so much history to be learned in just that spot. Breakfast was so delicious also. They truly care for guests to have a comfortable stay. Good job to all

This was such an amazing Gettysburg experience. . Everything was perfect from the accommodation’s, the friendly kind attentive staff, the scrumptious breakfasts, and the daily history lessons. Every detail was thought of thoroughly. I am on a gluten free low sodium diet and they made food especially for me including the daily cookies that were left for the guests. They went above and beyond with everything. My 2 pups felt like they were on vacation too. We look forward to our next stay.

Do yourself a favor and stay at The Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The care and thoughtfulness of everyone working there was amazing. You are greeted when you arrive and made to feel right at home. We went as a couple but would have been very comfortable bringing children. The room (North Star) for us was perfect. The very comfortable bed and linens a welcome refuge at the end of long days exploring the battlefields and town. We choose to have breakfast and stay for the Historical Speakers. A big thank you to Sallie for the delicious breakfasts! The historical presentations were world class. Do not miss them. Stephen Gunlock 's presentation was lively and superb. Bradley Gottfried's presentation on Lincoln comes to Gettysburg was fascinating and very moving. We will stay there again when we return.

Our niece had our wedding on the property in the barn and on the grounds. It was wonderful. Our weekend only got better after we checked in to the inn. JD our host was wonderful. Patient, informative and kind. The accommodations, service and food was all top notch. Highly recommend this wonderful place for any occasion.

From the moment we arrived, we - and our pup - felt welcomed to this beautiful place. Comfortable bed, plenty of space to walk or relax, top-notch gourmet breakfasts and helpful, informative staff made this a great belated anniversary gift to ourselves!

The breakfast was superb both days. Both speakers exceed our expectations and understanding of Gettysburg. They could have gone on all day! The main building had some many things to look at I didn’t know where to begin. The master suite w bath in Swan Cottage was terrific and we would like to stay there next time. But there won’t be a next time unless the other 2 bedrooms are brought up to par. Besides being drab, dingy, dreary, and in need of paint, they were not clean as shown in the photo below. At least the larger of the 2 beds was comfortable.

We booked the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn as a wedding venue. From the first phone call to completing the ceremony, the Event Coordinator, Connie, went above and beyond to ensure EVERYTHING was perfect. Her assistance, guidance and willingness to help is priceless. She is the most amazing and kind person, who rolls up her sleeves to assist in every aspect of planning, decorating and cleaning up afterwards. With the help of JD ( loved him), they both were present at the ceremony and reception - including serving quests and jumping in to assist when and where ever needed. Connie even took extra measures to have a "back-up" plan in the event of rain (which it did), the wedding was beautiful and perfect. Everyone in attendance was extremely pleased and impressed with the Inn, Staff and beautiful setting provided. We highly recommend the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn.

This was our third visit to Gettysburg and to the Battlefield B&B. I cannot say enough great things about this B&B. The accommodations are superb, staff extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are FANTASTIC. Sally is an amazing cook and baker. We are looking forward to our next trip!
