Holiday Inn Express & Suites Destin E - Commons Mall Area

Great, safe location! The staff was pleasant and the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great! It was a quick 5-6 minute walk to the beach. I will definitely stay here again!

Would not stay here again. Property is in terrible shape, staff doesn't care about anything. Things that went wrong: 1. My friend's room had blood and an earring in the sheets. 2. The confirmation lists check-in time at 3pm, but when you get there hotel check-in is at 4pm and there is no early check-in. 3. The room was in sad shape. Only a couple of the power outlets work, one lamp totally dead, tv system doesn't have a working guide. 4. The whole place just felt...icky and not properly taken care of. I'm thankful I was only here for one night.

First off the picture of the hotel needs to be updated on the IHG website- this pic is years old and most likely reflects the property when it first opened. It isn’t even the same color anymore. 1. Upon driving up my teen stated that she was absolutely not staying here. The pool is very run down with debris in it. It is small and doesn’t look up-kept. This is not what we have come to expect from IHG properties. We are rewards members and stay at IHG properties around 10-20 times a year. 2. The whole hotel was dirty. The floors needed to be mopped and had sticky stuff and dirt all over them, especially in the elevator. I gave them grace- maybe house cleaning was sick. By day 2 it was still there. The check in desk is missing paint on the wall- it looks run down and needs touch up paint. It screams days inn- not IHG with an IHG price point. 3. Breakfast was a smaller spread than what most Holiday inn expresses have. My major issue is the egg white omelet was not an egg white omelette- it was the ham and cheese. It doesn’t seem like a big deal until you consider reglious and dietary needs- some people are allergic to milk and don’t eat meat. I asked the breakfast attendant if it was labeled correctly and she very rudely answered yes. Had I consumed this I could have had an allergic reaction. 4. Every employee that I encountered was rude and seemed put off. Upon checking in the attendant was clearly sick, kept sniffing snot back up her nose but was not wearing a mask. In conclusion I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Panama City. It has an amazing resort feel, gorgeous pool area with a lazy river and is actually on the beach. It is also the same price. Had we known the condition of this property we would have stayed in PCB and driven in to Destin daily for my Daughter’s tournament. I would suggest IHG quality control look into hiring new management- it clearly isn’t being run or up-kept to its potential and clearly doesn’t reflect the IHG brand.

We recently had a two-day stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Destin E - Commons Mall Area, and it was a perfect spot for our little beach getaway! Our room was clean and comfortable, with all the essentials we needed for our stay. It wasn't the biggest, but perfectly adequate for a two-night trip. This hotel is a great choice for anyone looking for a convenient and affordable location near the beach and shopping. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, and the room was clean. We would definitely recommend it to others!

I read reviews on here but had a great experience as room was very clean and modern which was great after our previous hotel. Breakfast was a choice of hot and cold and included in price, there were no views from the windows but good location as beach is about a 15min walk, there’s good shopping across the road and several places to eat right on the doorstep

The shower was hot with dove toiletries, comfy bed and pillows. No frills. Breakfast is the same as every holiday inn express, nothing fancy but serves the purpose. Hotel staff was light due to our stay during the holiday.

A good hotel with greater location. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast selections included. Near beach and amazing shopping center, across 98; all within walking distance. Rooms are comfy, maintained clean by hard-working staff. The lady that services the breakfast area does an outstanding job! She makes sure the area is neat, clean, and continuously replenished with fresh food.

The facility was CLEAN!!! I want to say it was recently updated. Our room was very nice! Entry and bath had tile while the sitting area and bed area had clean carpet. A/C kept the room nice and cool, was great to come to after spending the day on the beach. One thing that would have made our experience better would be a more firm mattress, the one we had was like sleeping on a marshmallow.

Room was very clean. There was a huge new flat screen tv. Bathroom desperately needed sink towel hangers. There was no hanger on back of bathroom door to keep clothes off floor. Room had refrigerator and small microwave. In room safe. Keurig coffee maker. There were pallets on floor of lobby my entire stay. Plenty of nice luggage carts. There was only one very small elevator.
