Excellent service best room in the house! Really enjoyed the bath and bed so comfortable. Had dinner in the restaurant was truly amazing and breakfast in the morning. Thank you for having us to stay.

Splendid new addition ! Sunday family lunch turned out to be a straight to the top of the charts! Moment ! Often a Sunday lunch out in Britain 2024 turns out to be an often chastening experience! Happy to report this beautiful hotel / pub is a very fine addition to hospitality in the area of lovely Dorking. Recently renovated at what looks very high expense, the downstairs areas are exquisitely decorated to the highest standard all following different themes… truly comfortable, welcoming and very elegant… the service all round was professional, warm and very thorough… again another bonus… the Sunday lunch was first class… by a country mile the best Roast beef beautifully cooked rare, succulent, perfect gravy that was definitely fresh ditto excellent veg , crispy Yorkies and proper fluffy roast spuds just how we love them! Lashings of gravy and proper Horseradish all added to the fine fare on offer… rounding the lunch joy was a marvellous sticky Toffee pud! Old school but just the right notes of sweetness and sticky deliciousness! The owners? who spent time chatting and serving us were charm and professionalism personified. This is one venue on our circuit that will the consensus agreed be a new go to ! venue Well done the White Horse

We stayed one night at the hotel to attend a funeral so I hadn’t researched it as extensively as I normally would. What a great surprise! The pub part is really cosy and beautifully styled. It felt very welcoming on a dark, wet day. The receptionist very kindly enabled us to check into our room early which was a great help. The room was also very well presented and comfortable and the little luxurious touches of fresh milk and sweet treats were much appreciated. All in all, we were very impressed and thought the stay was excellent value for money.

Thank you very much to The White Horse for a great stay in not great circumstances (a family funeral) in early October. This traditional hotel/pub really is properly dog-friendly - there was a huge, soft, comfortable and waterproof dog bed provided in the room which my hound loved, dog bowls (which was great) and dog treats too. We own and run a small, dog-friendly holiday business ourselves in the South West and we really appreciated the little touches that we also do as well - human treats, dog treats and a hand-written, personalized welcome note in the room. Food was lovely and very good value for money compared to the rest of Dorking (we looked at other restaurant menus and prices while wandering around) and the bar area was particularly friendly.

Booked a late Sunday lunch for 3 adults. We all chose the roast beef which was absolutely fantastic. Beef cooked to perfection and a lovely choice of vegetables. Bottomless roasties which our son was very pleased with. Staff were great and good service all round. My only slight criticism was the barman embarrassed my 22 year old son by asking for ID. I understand you have to check these things but He definitely looks over 18 and had we already been sat at our table for lunch he would not have been questioned and we were standing with him at the bar.

I have travelled extensively over the past few years, but have rarely encountered superb quality such as that found at The White Horse. The rooms are part of the public house establishment and to say are comfortable, is an understatement! The bed and linens are luxurious, perfect after a long haul flight, and the cuisine is a gastronomical delight! Highly recommended for females travelling alone. Safe and secure.

The 300 year old hotel was tastefully renovated. I needed handicap access and the room, lobby, and restaurant was accomodating. Ask for handicap accomodations. The meals were excellent and service friendly and efficient. Dorking is delightful and I recommend going there if you want to see local people, interesting shops, and a relaxing stay. Don't forget to go to the Dorking Museum and Mullins Coffee Shop, former home of Pilgrim Wm Mullins and family

Just had cocktails and dinner. Lovely atmosphere everywhere but in the bar in particular. Delicious cocktails and amazing food. Portion size was generous so because of my choices (and unwillingness to leave anything on my plates as it was so yummy), no room to try desert.

We booked into The White Horse along with friends and family to attend our daughter's wedding close by. From the moment we arrived, with a very large amount of luggage and wedding components we were greeted warmly and efficiently by Jamie the Manager on duty. He stored a great deal of our baggage in his office, and we were able to get access to one of our rooms before check-in, which was a blessing. The rooms were very comfortable, nicely appointed with very spacious bathrooms. The Inn is charming and combines its Tudor style with the modern conveniences effortlessly. Staff were very friendly and attentive. There were several young families with us and they made it easy for them to manage including our son and daughter in law who had to move out of their rental accommodation late and night and desperately needed their last room! Food and drink both very good!
