Hampton Inn Dover

Hampton Inns are usually a safe bet, but this one is disappointing. Where do I even start? The sheets were stained, and when I contacted the front desk for replacements, I got no response. The bathroom wasn’t exactly spotless, the sink leaked onto the floor, and the room felt more cramped than usual. To top it off, the breakfast was so bad that we ended up going to Starbucks, and the staff seemed indifferent. While the location is decent, I wouldn’t consider staying here again. It fell short in too many areas to recommend.

The location of this hotel is convenient to most of Dover. Overall the hotel is average I would say. Not the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed in. I checked in later and my room had absolutely zero hot water. Since I was freezing out, I had to wait until the morning. I’m sure there was a good explanation for that happening, but needed to sleep. Seemed like a safe area. Staff was friendly.

I booked a suite, but when I arrived at the hotel , the suite wasn’t available, so I had to stay in a regular room, not to mention it was outside people coming to the pool without having a reservation

We recently traveled from the Outer Banks to northern New Jersey. As we traveled we realized the journey would be longer than anticipated. We knew we would pass through Dover and it seemed like a good place to stop. The receptionist on the phone was able to book us a room and was very pleasant. After getting lost, we arrived and were hungry and tired. The desk was more than helpful with a problem we had with Hilton Honors points, which was deeply appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and looked recently updated. There was an Outback restaurant minutes away which the front desk informed us about. One of the best Hampton Inns I have ever been to. Finally eggs and waffles again served at Hampton Inn breakfast.

My husband and I have been staying at the Hampton Inn of Dover for my husband’s cdl training through Walmart. Our stay each week has been exceptional from the front desk to every staff member we have encountered. It is refreshing to experience genuine professionalism, kindness, hospitality and courtesy. I literally can say the Hampton Inn of Dover has become our home away from home. Special thanks to the front desk Korinna, Jenn, Kevin, Beverly, and Damien. Thanks to Kitchen staff Kathy, Lisa, and Pricilla. Thanks to every person in housekeeping and maintenance for keeping my rooms and the hotel sanitary and well kept. My husband and I appreciate you all.

Run of the mill Hampton Inn. Convenient location close to highway and many restaurants. Property needs some major updating. Checked in and out via the app so no dealings with front desk staff. Complimentary breakfast was par for a Hampton Inn however one of the waffle cookers was broken and the second morning they had no cut up front.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn of Dover for a month . The employees were very friendly and so accommodating to me . Always asking me if I needed anything in my room. Eric was very goodand cleaned my room with excellence. Tyra was such a uplifting desk attendant and was always smiling and friendly. Todd was also excellant if I needed anything at all he was there . Everyone was nice and you could tell they were like a family . The rooms were small and the heating/air conditioning unit would be updated. The breakfast was a normal Hotel food, and didnt take long to get bored with it. But the ladies working there always said good morning and talked to me. If you go there ro stay tell them Hi from Dale

This was a fabulous experience From the very professional customer service given to us by Brian. I came down to have breakfast and what a pleasant surprise to see one of the most elaborate breakfast display very clean .fully stocked and displayed in a very professional manner by an exceptional employee by the name of Elizabeth

Stayed here for one night with our soccer team. This hotel is Definately an older Hilton property. They have a larger parking lot so no door dings here. The rooms however, are small in comparison to other standard rooms in the industry. The window in my room was only a 36” width. The rest of the wall was fixed drapery covering the wall thus making it a very dark environment. The positives are that the bed was comfortable and the bath towels were of good quality. The lady working the front desk was polite, as well as the house cleaning team in the hallways. I never eat a hotel breakfast, but it did look like ample selections. Would I stay here again? No, I personally prefer a newer built more modern property. The new Hamptons are wonderfully designed 3-stat properties.
