Cbh Whitley Hall Country House Hotel

Hotel is in an historic building surround by pleasant grounds to the north, northeast of Sheffield, a few miles from junction 35 on the M1. Bedroom was good and furnished to reflect and blend in with the age of the building. Evening meal and breakfast were fine. Lots of car parking reasonable close to the hotel.

What a beautiful place, beautiful food and drink, lovely room, staff are all very pleasant and lovely, nothing was a problem, dinner b and b was very comoetiveky priced, £30 allowance per person for dinner, food and drink is a little pricey, but lovely all the same, we cannot recommend Whitley Hall enough We will be back

I am writing this review as we recently celebrated our wedding at Whitley Hall in September 2024.  The location of this venue is absolutely beautiful! You are completely isolated within back country roads and it is very easy access to the M1. You drive through 2 large electric gates then down the path which really just sets the scene on your arrival. We were shown around by Laura who is AMAZING, she really listened to our needs and sat and answered all our questions. We booked the wedding in advance and chose to go for the exclusive package which in my personal opinion is worth every penny extra. You get FULL access to the venue and grounds all day.  The weddings team are fabulous, VERY quick response to any emails, constant communication and overall, very easy to deal with and friendly. Thank you to Rebecca for being so helpful and helping with the constant changes. Forever Yours Team- A big thank you, Rebecca on our initial meeting you really listened to my vision and helped where was needed. The little cabin at the back of the hotel is great and offers a wide selection of hire items for couples to choose from. My favourite was the blossom trees!  Jayne who works doing all the floristry at Forever Yours- you are amazing! Again, you listened to what I wanted, even though my flowers wasn't in season you were able to supply different options and give your advice. When the flowers arrived on the day they generally blew me away, they were beautiful and exactly what I visioned.   Wedding Coordinators - Joe and Amanda…. You both are absolutely AMAZING! Our day wouldn’t have gone the way it did without you both. You constantly reassured me, checked in, just ran the whole day perfectly! I honestly appreciate you both so much, Amanda thank you for coming to speak to me the night before it really helped just explaining everything. Joe you just knew my vision alongside Amanda and you both just ran with it. Without both of these our day wouldn't have gone the way it did, they are so professional and know exactly what you want.  All the staff on the day was so kind, smiling and really helpful, it was so nice to see. Everyone spoke to us and was constantly making sure everything was ok. But my favourite part was coming down the stairs with everyone stood there made me feel a million dollars, it was so special. The fact Laura who had originally booked our wedding turned up on the day was amazing, this just shows that the hotel really put everything into those special little touches.  The food was probably the best food I’ve ever eaten at an event, it was amazing! Really well presented and large enough portions.  All our guests were really happy and had full tummy's!  I’m guttered I didn’t eat much of the evening buffet as that’s what I’d been looking forward to the most but I was so stuffed from the day but it looked amazing! The morning after there was a large selection of both continental and full English breakfast to choose from, this was included

This hotel is primarily in the wedding business.Our room was in a wing next to the car park,it was freshly painted and painting and work was still going on .Room was decent ,bed in between a double and a queen .Kinda gloomy ,not good lighting .The shower tub combination was a broken hip waiting to happen, poorly designed with a high side and slippery bath ,no handle to hang on to.In order to get to the main hotel you have to walk outside.Dinner was fabulous every night ,breakfast was great for two mornings ,the third morning there was a wedding and it was poor.

Welcoming, clean,lots of choices at breakfast, English full breakfast hot , beautiful grounds , comfortable bed and the best shower . Glad we found and booked this lovely hotel The only thing is you need to reply on taxis to get into Sheffield city centre No buses And we had travelled on Coach Would we book again YES

Excellent food and service. Can't rate this place enough. The staff cannot do enough for you. The food is just perfect to taste and well presented. The whole ambience and how you are made to feel is second to none. We arrived with cake and balloon of which the team placed on our table before mum arrived.

Attended the Christmas wreath making evening with a friend. It’s many years since I last visited. The hotel and restaurant were a much loved venue for my now ex partner and I and I was looking forward to seeing the hotel again. I wasn’t expecting too much of our evening believing it would be one of the Christmas events where mass catering is generally provided and usually mediocre at best. I was quickly divested of this perception. A warm welcome on arrival to a stunningly decorated entrance and general area. Staff greeting us and making sure we had a drink whilst we waited. Our meal served once settled into our large room was superb and a big plus for me as a very fussy diner was warm plates! Our Christmas meal was served quickly, delicious generous hot portions turkey, al dente veg and trimmings to go. A dessert that went down beautifully and I noticed particularly many plates going back to the kitchen empty! AND hot rich fragrant coffee,! Our evening then of wreath making was chaotic, noisy with plant debris everywhere but after an hour, with guidance, many beautiful wreaths produced with us all sharing our attempts on cameras with smiles. Throughout the evening I was able to see the staff and their courtesy, attentiveness and patience as well as helpfulness and this reinforced my love of this beautiful hotel and restaurant and my memories of previous happy visits. It’s so nice to see in today’s competitive market a venue that works hard to give guests a very enjoyable visit and I can’t wait to come after Christmas to enjoy a meal with friends. We got married here and it was incredible, the staff are amazing, Hannah was in charge of our day and she was an absolute star. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough to other couples. The food is incredible too. The venue and gardens really make it such a special experience.

Where do I even begin to thank Whitley Hall for making mine & my husbands wedding day so special. We booked this venue 2 years in advance, Rebecca the manager was lovely showing us around. Making us a coffee & took her time to answer any questions we had. The communication was spot on from start to finish. If we had any questions we just emailed & always got a quick response from someone in the team. We used the onsite styling team Forever Yours, Sarah was amazing helping us choose our decorations & showing us how things would look. We also used the onsite flower team, Jane was a superstar the flower arrangements were beautiful. I asked for an example of flower bouquet & she did it no problem for us.On the day we got Amanda as our wedding coordinator, Amanda thank you so much you went above & beyond to make every moment of our day perfect. Amanda was on the ball from meeting me onsite the night before making sure I was ok or any questions I may have. On the morning Amanda was there to make sure everything was right that she had down & to talk me over what’s going to happen. Through out the night Amanda was there making sure everything was going perfectly, she was incredible. Our wedding day would not of been so perfect without her, we thank you from the bottom of our heart. Chelsea & Chris.
