Beautiful room, very comfy bed with soft sheets, everything clean and lovely. Delicious breakfast with special attention paid to our vegan diet. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and very friendly. Would give this a 10.

I cannot fault this guest house !! The hosts were fantastic as was the whole experience. Every inch of their home was beautiful and we were warmly welcomed to share it. The breakfast was hot and delicious. We stayed 2 nights and will most definitely be returning, can't praise this place enough

Greeted with a warm welcome. Room was so clean we felt guilty wearing shoes indoor and almost didn’t dare to lay on the bed. But glad we did, because it was really comfortable. Took a warm shower in the cosy and clean bathroom. You can choose what you’ll have for (“Scottish”) breakfast by ticking it off on the menu that you leave outside your door. The lady chatted with us at the breakfast table and provided us with helpful information regarding a visit to Edinburgh and how to get there easily. Bus 26 takes you straight downtown and only takes about 20-30 min.

Great stay with Angela and Will. Super helpful with suggested itineraries and fantastic breakfast. Rooms are lovely and location is great, with a short bus ride into the centre. Thank you Hayley & David

When somewhere has almost 600 reviews and it is 5 star rated it pretty much sums it up. We entered the property to an immaculate vestibule. Willy our host was extremely welcoming and polite. We were shown to our room and my first impression was that we had been massively undercharged. It was something from a very top class hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable. The en-suite was in keeping with the rest of the room. Breakfast was perfect and immaculately presented. When we are in Edinburgh next, this is where we will stay.

I have already reviewed this wonderful place but cannot see it on Trip advisor -so this is Review number two!! This is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay. The bedroom was large and very comfortable and the whole house is very stylish. Breakfast was really tasty with plenty of choice. Proximity to Porty beach is around a ten minute walk. A must see if you haven't been:Pubs, Bakery, coffee, pizza AND sand! There are lots of independent little shops to browse and eateries to enjoy on the nearby high street. But the real draw are the owners Angela and Willie. They are such a warm friendly couple,full of recommendations about what to do and see whilst you are in Scotland. We loved our stay at Abercorn and have recommended it to lots of our friends and family. Thanks so much Angela and Willie. Bridget and John.

A fantastic guest house with amazing friendly owners. The room was perfect, clean and tidy. The breakfast made to order was delicious. 15 minutes from the city centre with a great public transport link! Absolutely recommend this! Angela was so friendly and helpful.

We stayed here on Monday evening. Warm welcome when we arrived and offered a choice of two rooms. Think this was because it was off-season, but a nice touch just the same. Room was lovely - very elegant. Comfy bed. Ensuite shower room with toiletries. Delicious cooked breakfast which you ordered the night before. There was the option to change your mind in the morning. Owners went to great efforts to be helpful, recommending places to eat locally for evening meal and places to visit the next day. Would definitely stay here again.
