Hotel Mas del Sol

Really loved our 1 night stay here. Felt very much at home - welcomed warmly by the host who was so kind , accommodating & charming. Beautiful ground floor room. Everything was immaculate. The rural setting is beautiful with a heavenly lavender garden We didn’t use the pool but in warmer weather it would be very inviting . Really enjoyed our evening meal & great breakfast & had fun with the chef who cooked everything to our liking.

The Hotel is beautiful - expertly styled and looked after with modern furnishings and finishes. A perfect blend of rural charm and contemporary style. The breakfast (included in room rate) was excellent. Great selection of cold meats and cheese, fruit, nuts, yoghurts and pastries. Fresh orange juice was fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. The option of cooked eggs and bacon a bonus. We ate in the small but busy restaurant on two occasions. Both meals were very good and top-notch local wine to go with the meal. The staff are fantastic. Everyone is so helpful and will seemingly go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. The swimming pool is clean and the whole pool area is quiet and relaxing. Just the sounds of nearby rural life as the backdrop. Also, the garden bar is a great idea! We had a massage with Jana (?) while we were there. It was great, the hour went too quick for me though - could have stayed there all day! There is nothing about the Hotel, its facilities or staff that are a negative for me. The only thing I would point out is the location. I'd assume anyone booking at May del Sol will already have realised that it is not in the beating heart of some swanky resort and this is the very reason we chose it. However, I would say a car is highly recommended if you stay for a week. Whilst we love walking there are no amenities in Vall-Llobrega itself and a half hour walk to the nearest store is a bit of a pain. Not a game changer by any means and not the Hotels fault - this is a rural setting and that's what you go here for.

Beautiful place with rolling lavender fields. Absolutely spotlessly clean. Staff were super helpful - we had a very late check in and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Everything was really top class and I would highly recommend this place if you want a relaxing trip to the sun!

The staff is friendly and highly available. The hotel is located close to well known beaches and must visit places. The rooms are well equipped and clean. The pool area is perfect for relaxation and also has a fridge with some refreshments.

We spent two nights here on the outward and return journey to Murcia and had a wonderful time. The first day we arrived early enough to spend time by the beautiful pool which has a very reasonably priced honesty bar. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to staff shortages on the first visit but we did get to sample the tapas on the second. Rooms are beautifully appointed and we were fortunate to be upgraded on out first visit. Would highly recommend the hotel and the staff, breakfast was excellent. Juan and Gerrard deserve a special mention.

Great hotel for a relaxing family stay. Staff was excellent and the property is located close to multiple places worth visiting while still feeling secluded and private. Very recommended if you are looking to visit costa brava
