My wife and I stayed in El Cuco area for about five days. We visited several resorts for meals and drinks. In many aspects, El Cuco is still a work in progress and can be hit or miss. We have visited Cancun over a dozen times and, in comparison, when it comes to the quality of food, customer service El Cuco has some work to do. It’s also highly OVERPRICED, we found the prices in El Cuco disproportionate with the quality of products and service. Though the beach there is beautiful. On one afternoon, we visited Las Flores with great expectations after reading the reviews online and it was highly recommended by a friend. We pulled into a hard to maneuver small parking lot. We got out of our car and started to walk to the premises. There were several guests, but no employees. I walked towards what appeared to be the kitchen and noticed people inside. Finally a young gentleman wearing a brownish uniform came out. Since we did not have a reservation, the young man told us that they were fully booked. I asked if we could have at least a glass of wine to enjoy the view, and he said they were busy and understaffed. Paradise Surf was also recommended. We drove for about a mile further to get to Paradise Surf. As we were getting out of the car, we were greeted by an employee who guided us to the restaurant. Undoubtedly, this resort has the best view of all the hotels we visited in El Cuco. The view is spectacular. Paradise Surf + service, food, drinks, view = 5 Stars. If you visit El Cuco, Paradise Surf is a must visit.
