Hotel Kronenschlösschen

整體服務和硬件設施都非常好，前廳也非常熱情幫忙預訂出租車和餐廳。美中不足時那個床是由兩個單人床拼接而成，聽説這是當地人的喜好，如果有伴兒就不會被另一方打擾到。大床房也有，是需要跟前台要求的，以後check in的時候最好跟他們提一下你的訴求。

This is just an outstanding place, with many quirks but they add to the charme - it's a 19th century chateau right by the Rhine (not on the levee; nothing is, the Rhine can be fierce), and it is very much a boutique chateau hotel. The place is famous as a two-star Michelin restaurant, but we went Monday-Wednesday when it's closed (but you can still get wine on the terrace etc.), which meant much more quietude, and it was great. Key for the experience was that we had the Tower Suite, their prime room, which has historical value - the German Constitution was discussed here shortly after WWII by the key party leaders. The bathroom is fine, the bedroom a bit low-ceilinged and dark, but the actual Tower Suite is great. It's a real space. Some constructive criticism: It's a consciously non-hip historical property, but in 2023, I think a Nespresso machine or at least a kettle is a must. In this suite, there shouldn't be random books, but at least a copy of the Constitution and a picture of Adenauer, Heuss and Carlo Schmid. To have the jacuzzi not work and not tell this in advance is so-so. And for a 400+ suite, I would as usual throw the breakfast in... But we really liked the wine selection (and the free carafe in the room); parking is great; and the staff was truly friendly and courteous. There is no elevator; the speed road goes right by between river and house (but that is the Hessian politicians' fault); and there is no pool or gym. But that one knows in advance and it's not a problem. So altogether, a very strong recommendation, especially for that suite. It's a significant, truly charming, almost otherworldly place, and if you like this - and in one of the loveliest regions of Germany - it's just a fantastic place.

We recently returned from two nights in a superior double room at the Hotel Kronenschlosschen. Having escaped from a really poor hotel elsewhere, this place felt like heaven, particularly as we sampled the food first. That lunch, on the terrace overlooking the glorious garden, convinced us that this was the hotel for us and luckily they had space. What they forgot to tell us was that they had two wedding receptions on the Saturday night and because of staff issues could not carry out ordinary restaurant service. However, wonderfully, we were able to eat from the menu of one of the weddings and outstandingly tasty and attractively presented that food was. We expected a lot of noise from the parties (as per an English wedding) but both were restrained events that allowed us to sleep peacefully. Our room, 25 on the second floor, was charming, comfortable and most importantly and unlike our previous hotel, had a fan, making sleep possible. No A/C because of the age of the building, which was in itself a lovely feature, particularly the carved wooden staircase (no lift). My husband particularly enjoyed the 'Olympic quantity' of sherry supplied and re-filled in our room. All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and charming, speaking excellent English. Apart from lack of air conditioning, the only other downside to this lovely hotel is the main road running alongside. We could hear the swish of traffic at night with windows open but it did not disturb us. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Ein klarer Genuss für mich der kühl frisch temperierte Rheingau Riesling Alkoholfrei. Die Aromenküche auch dieses Mal voll mein und der Familie Geschmack

Wir haben unseren zweitägigen Aufenthalt im Hotel sehr genossen. Die Einrichtung ist stilvoll passend zur Historie des Hotels. Wer es moderner bevorzugt, findet im Gästehaus uneingeschränkten neuzeitlichen Komfort. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam freundlich. Das Frühstück lässt nur wenige Wünsche offen, besonders hervorzuheben ist die hervorragende Küche. Am Abend haben wir uns für das Sechsgängemenü entschieden, was uns absolut begeistert hat. Die Juniorchefin Frau Ulrich begegnet ihren Gästen mit Empathie und Kundenorientierung. Ich spreche dem Haus eine absolute Empfehlung aus.

Und wieder einmal hatte es uns das "Turmzimmer " mit seinem Balkon mit Blick auf den Park des Hotels angetan . Abendessen mit Genuss von Wein und Küche auf der eingedeckten herrlichen Gartenterrasse zwischen Hotel und Parkgarten

Das Kronenschlösschen hatte ich anders erwartet. Der Eingangshof war schon nicht besonders ansprechend, es standen viele Getränkekästen herum und es parkten einige Handwerker Autos direkt am Eingang. Wir checkten ein und gingen zu unserem sehr schönen aber leider sehr laut gelegenem Zimmer. Man hörte den Strassenlärm und unser Zimmer war über dem Lieferanteneingang des Restaurants. D. h. morgens ab ca 7.30 Lärm von Lieferanten. Die alten Fenster waren total undicht, es zog im Bad. Das Essen im Bistro war gut aber der Service unaufmerksam und quasi nicht vorhanden. Frühstück war eine totale Enttäuschung, wenige lieblos gedeckte Tische im etwas düsteren Gourmetrestaurant am Morgen und ein nicht ansprechendes Früstücksbüffett. Ein paar Blumen, Kerzen, etwas Farbe am Buffet...etwas fröhliches am Morgen wäre schön gewesen. Die gesamte Stimmung hier fanden wir etwas düster und nichts für uns.

Ich hatte das Kronenschlösschen mit dem Wunsch nach Zimmer 14 gebucht und auch erhalten. Ein early check in war ohne Probleme möglich. Die Küche war übrigens wie erwartet von sehr guter Qualität gepaart mit einem aufmerksamen Service. Besonders angenehm war das Essen im Innenhof. Schön war das auch die Tochter des Inhabers im Service geholfen hat, das unterscheidet ein Inhabergeführtes Unternehmen von einer Kette. Übrigens Zimmer 14 entsprach voll und ganz meiner Erwartung. Vom Hotel sind es wenige Schritte bis zum Rhein…….und auch der Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Lecker war auch das Frühstück mit sehr hochwertigen Lebensmittel, so lässt es sich gut in den Tag starten.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Kronenschlösschen und zum zweiten Mal war es sehr gut. Das Niveau gehalten, auch nach den Pandemie-Zeiten. Die Zimmer im Gästehaus sind neu, sauber und sehr gemütlich, gute Minibar und Klimaanlage. Der Garten ist besonders schön, mit viel Detailliebe wurden Beete angelegt, Rosen blühen, alles ist top-gepflegt. Es gibt Liegen, auf denen man in der Sonne seinen Riesling genießen kann. Auch die Terrasse ist ansprechend gestaltet und lädt zum Dinieren ein. Das Essen im Restaurant (wir hatten das Menü im rahmen Halbpension) ist sehr lecker, wirklich auf den Punkt, tolle Speisen, dazu regional und gewitzt gekocht. Ordentliche, aber angemessene Preise. Die Weinauswahl ist riesig, 90 Seiten Weinkarte ;-). Sehr zu empfehlen der Pinot Noir vom Künstler. Der Service abends ist gut, manchmal mit etwas Luft nach oben, was Antizipation angeht. Sehr guter Somelier - vielen Dank für die Beratung. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können das Hotel nur empfehlen.
