A melhor e mais linda exepriência de minha vida! Funcionários extremamente cordiais. Acomodação muito boa! Exzperiência única! Apenas o retaurante que o preço é exageradamente caro. Mas também intendivel.

This was a memorable trip for us. We stayed in an igloo which was very cozy. The staff was exceptional. Everyone from the shuttle drivers to the onsite staff were informative, warm and friendly. Be prepared for single digit or lower temps, dressing in layers. Also bring a small flashlight for when it is dark and you walk to the restaurant for dinner. When we were there sunset was around 4:30 pm and sunrise at 9:30 am. While the aurora borealis was not as brilliant as we might have expected due to a beautiful full moon and some snow/cloudy skies, it did not take away from the enjoyment and our experience. Don’t worry about missing the lights, the rooms our set up with a bell that goes off when they are sighted - typically, between 11 and 3:00 am. Ours occurred our last night at 2:30 am!

The entire experience was fantastic! All of the activities and staff were phenomenal and super helpful. Special shoutout to Amber, we bonded over a book and she actually went and got me another book in the series! She deserves a massive raise!

My dad, my husband, and I spent 4 nights at basecamp and one in Fairbanks. Here’s my observations about the whole trip, not just the basecamp. 1. Fairbanks airport has no public wifi. Airport is small, but the whole travel process there was efficient and painless. 2. Not super impressed with Alaska Airlines. Out of 4 flights, 3 of them were delayed. BUT, the actual plane and flight was no more or less uncomfortable than any other flight. And flight attendants were nice. 3. At the very beginning and throughout my planning process for this trip, about a year before we went, I had lots of questions and emailed back and forth with them extensively. They were very helpful and responsive, which I appreciated! 4. Wifi at basecamp was fine, though sometimes a little slow when texting. My dad has a basic galaxy phone and uses AT&T – his phone worked great everywhere. Hubby and I have nice new galaxy phones and use Tello, which piggybacks off of T-mobile – our phones were basically useless everywhere! No google maps, no cell service, no phone calls. 5. We were in igloos. Heater is under the bed and blows out from there. It’s LOUD. Also, the person who sleeps hot should sleep on the side closest to the edge of the igloo, away from heater blowing. The person who sleeps cold should sleep on the other side. Heating the room is a balancing process and quite often you are either a little too hot or a little too chilly. 6. The bed is SOFT. As in soft, squishy, and you sink into it. My husband has back issues and hated it. I like a medium bed so I was a little more ok with it. The bed and bedding is nice and warm, which we appreciated! 7. The bathroom had a real toilet, not a dry flush. They must have updated since some of the older reviews. The bathroom was nice – good towels, plenty of hot water (though they encourage shorter showers and not wasting water), I liked the dispensers in the shower. There was even a little lotion and chapstick, which was much appreciated. As Floridians we are used to hot and humid, so dry and cold left my skin in constant need of moisture and protection. 8. The room has a tea kettle for hot water and a fridge. It’s stocked with teas and hot chocolate packs and you can ask for more. 9. Apparently, two weeks before our arrival they got an unseasonable early snowstorm which dumped a foot of snow. Then a week later they got a more typical 5-6 inches of snow. We rented a car because we wanted to go back and forth to Fairbanks for some sightseeing and dinners. Well, those roads were pretty nerve-wracking! If you aren’t comfortable driving on snow and ice, and you go when that’s likely, just use their shuttle and stay put. Thankfully, my husband was ok with it, but I was a nervous wreck. We did go into Fairbanks twice, but always made sure to be back before dark… and it’s important to note when that is for the time of year you are visiting. 10. We paid for a “professional” photograph of us with the Aurora lights. If you are at all handy

the place is great, people who work there is very kind, activities are great the only problem was that they had to pick us up at fairbanks hotel at 1pm, we where waiting since 12:30, at 1:30 pm my husband called and they didnt even had de appointment to pick us up, the told us they were going to be in 20 minutes, then at 2:30 pm then at 3pm then al 3:30pm and they arrived at 4pm. It was very disapointing because we had to call them to know this information and we lost one day and 2 activities, so when we got there they gave us in compensation a piece of cake, i think that was rude because if you pay 1000 dls the night and loose one of trees day there, i think a piece of cake is nothing, they told us that they were going to see if they can do anything but never told us anything and they didnt care. we didn´t accept the piece of cake i understand that everyone makes mistakes o have problems, but the way that they act about the problem was very disapointing

Selfish people! They knew that the winter storm was out but they wouldn't cancel and refund the money but instead they did a snow photoshoot for us which was just an eye wash. The photos turned out to be really bad. They could have easily sent out a mail canceling the event and refunding the money.

I traveled solo to borealis basecamp, excited to spend a vacation at Basecamp to witness the Northern Lights during peak season. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for, with two main issues standing out: 1. Security Issues: Upon checking in, I found that the door to my room wouldn't lock. When I raised the issue, the staff said they couldn’t address it that night and simply walked away. Being alone in a remote area without a secure door was quite unsettling, especially considering the $2000 I paid for my stay. I was kept awake by various noises at night, leading to a sense of anxiety that completely ruined my experience. I expected a luxurious experience for that price, but instead, I felt unsafe and restless. To top it off, when I mentioned the door issue, the staff actually mocked my concern! 2. Dining Disappointment: The dining situation was another letdown. As a vegetarian, I was at least hoping for some good dessert options, but the restaurant constantly ran out of them. With such a limited menu, it was frustrating that they couldn’t keep up with demand, especially since reservations were required. It felt like I was being served leftovers at an exorbitant price. Overall, my stay was far from the luxurious experience I anticipated, and I left feeling undervalued and frustrated.

Overall, I would say we had a middle of the road experience. It wasn’t fantastic but it wasn’t terrible either. The staff were amazing, kind, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our igloo, however the “roll away cot” wasn’t exactly what we anticipated. We were most excited for our “4-6-hour” UTV experience, but the large group really takes away from it being enjoyable. It was A LOT of stopping for people to catch up and two machines with mechanical issues. If there were no mechanical issues and waiting for individuals to catch up, the trip would have been 3 hours at most.In hindsight, I regret not asking more questions about how large the group was going to be before committing to it. And I also should have confirmed that paying per person was going to mean each person had one to drive…but that was not the case. So be prepared to be a passenger for half of your trip. Lastly, we were super glad to have had our rental car for more food options in Fairbanks. It was incredibly overpriced for what it is, with the included breakfast being lackluster at best. For the price, I suppose I expected more. Overall, I feel the location needs to decide if they want to be a luxury resort or an adventure camp because both aspects don’t hit the mark. The views are phenomenal and I do hope the company continues to improve.

Incredible experience! Who knew you could have “well-appointed igloos?” They were comfortable, clean, and perfect for viewing the Northern Lights. The food and service at Latitudes were perfect. Dog-sledding was over the top, and every staff member and guide was not only knowledgeable, but had an interesting story. We loved our stay!
