Hotel & Resort Le Colombare

Should have listened to the reviews!! - AVOID this hotel On the surface it looks like this should be a good hotel. But it was an awful experience. It was hot in July and we wanted air conditioning for the night, the temperature never got below 25.6 degrees Celsius in the room and usually well over 26. They told me that it was too hot out to cool the rooms! (Strike 1 - they lied, their air conditioning just does not work, saw multiple other rooms with windows open or people outside their rooms) Couldn't really open the windows at night either because there are no screens on the windows so the mosquitos would have been bad. Cool off or get stung by mosquitos, not much of a choice. The second strike is the shower. We are used to small European showers, but this was a whole new level of small. Literally had to open the door to the shower to clean my whole body. And of course it leaked all over the bathroom floor. Strike three was that the refrigerator would not work. So much for a cool drink. This was less of an issue, but just added up on top of the other 2. Not that the rest of the room was anything special. Plenty of room, but it actually felt like it was missing furniture. The simple way to describe it is very very basic furniture and accommodations. So after going to the front desk to ask them to fix the air conditioning and getting the silly lie from them, we decided that it was bad enough and uncomfortable enough that we would NOT stay a second night like we had booked. Then came the "final nail in the coffin". First they said they could not give us a refund for the 2nd night because we booked through a 3rd party (another lie). Having experienced this before, I said I would contact the 3rd party and have them contact them. I then proceeded to contact them, they then contacted the hotel and asked them if they would give us a refund for the second night. Guess what their answer was? NO!! They never had any intention of granting a refund for the second night that we did not stay. Dishonorable businessmen as well. I understand that I booked a non-refundable reservation, but with that should come with them providing what they described on their website which they did not (no AC, no refrigerator). So really should have refunded us both nights, but at least the second night. So be forewarned, they are not nice accommodations and they are NOT nice people!

We didn't read the address... middle of an industrial park outside Foligno. HOWEVER - plenty of parking, modern (10 years old), pristinely clean, Reception helpful/spoke Eng. A huge complex with most sports catered for, a well-equipped gym, a water slide, several pools including a large one. We imagined it would be the kind of place Italian families might go on Summer vacation = Self-contained, safe, monitored - 'little people' unlikely to escape and lots to keep them amused. As a base just outside the City it worked well for a 1 night stay enroute to other Umbrian towns. We chose to eat in their restaurant after a long-ish drive: can only say it excelled any expectation (we retired to Italy many years ago). Food was amazing and worthy of a very high=class restaurant; we were the only 'foreigners' - rest were Italian. Everything was delicious with some unusual/different 'dishes', excellent wine list - Sagrantino region so reds are superb.

Non male. Giardino poco curato sicuramente a causa del fuori stagione. Colazione nella media... Miscela del caffè da rivedere assolutamente. 15 euro in più di pet cleaning... e ci può stare. Peccato però che in camera c'erano 26.8 gradi... e quando ho chiesto se si potesse mettere l'aria fresca mi è stato detto che il sistema centralizzato era già stato convertito a caldo. Abbiamo dormito con le finestre aperte da dove entravano le cimici rosse. Va bene comunque come struttura dove appoggiarsi per una notte. Doccia strettissima. Isolato un po' dal mondo.

Bella struttura ricavata da un vecchio casale, ristrutturato alla perfezione con tocchi di modernità, che conferiscono un look lussuoso e accogliente. Ho soggiornato a luglio, con mia moglie per tre notti e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Sia per la qualità dei servizi offerti, che per la professionalità e disponibilità del personale. Camere belle, confortevoli e ben climatizzate, che visto il caldo torrido di questa estate, ci hanno permesso di fare sonni tranquilli. Torneremo sicuramente per il prossimo tour in Umbria. Assolutamente consigliato!

Hotel molto accogliente,per noi uno dei migliori in Umbria !stanze pulire e molto confortevoli ,personale disponibile ,gentile e molto educato !la colazione ottima e abbondante con dolci preparati direttamente da loro DELUZIOSI che dire Valentina sempre molto attenta ai dettagli molto presente e disponibile .Il direttore Fabrizio molto professionale e attento ad ogni esigenza dei clienti !peccato che si possono dare 5 stelle perché in realtà ne avrei date 100 per noi alluviare qui è come essere a casa è sempre un piacere! A presto ….

Ritornato, una piacevole conferma ! ambiente, stanza, pulizia, colazione e personale ottimo; anche il ristorante davvero eccellente. La location è situata in un punto strategico per visitare comodamente i punti d'interesse della zona. Complimenti.

Siamo stati due giorni in questo posto meraviglioso, nonostante il tempo non fosse dei migliori il nostro soggiorno è stato perfetto. La stanza dove abbiamo dormito era pulitissima e accogliente, immerso nel verde, una coccola. Staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Valentina persona sempre presente per ogni evenienza, un plauso va’ al Direttore Fabrizio, cordiale e pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza del cliente ! Consigliatissimo !!!!!

Sono stato in questa struttura per lavoro in diverse occasioni. Locatin dove cortesia, buon gusto e professionalità si abbinano alla perfezione. Personale semore disponibile e attento ad ogni esigenza. Le stanze sono, oltre che eleganti, sempre pulitissime e l'igene è priorità assoluta. La colazione è varia con una torta della nonna spettacolare. Il ristorante è molto accogliente e la cucina è di alto livello. Sarà srmpre la mia tappa fissa ogni volta che mi recherò a Foligno e dintorni.
