After a lovely mid week visit, were we had a meal in the Clock Tower Restaurant and used the spa facilities for 2hrs in the afternoon, here is our detailed and honest review. Location - Rudding Park is situated just outside Harrogate in beautiful countryside. The grounds are immaculate, there is ample free parking and now a bank of electric vehicle chargers. Reception - we were welcomed on reception by Matthew, as always a lovely warm welcome. The reception area itself is so welcoming and cosy, there is a roaring log fire as you enter. We were then escorted to our room, by Reece Guest Experience Executive and being a friend of our sons, he kindly oversaw the whole of our stay. In every aspect Reece was so professional and friendly, he made us feel really special and ensured that our experience at the hotel was yet again exceptional. Room - the room was beautiful, super comfortable queen bed, beautiful bathroom with separate roll top bath spotless white fluffy towels, WiFi/tv/air con all perfect. Our room was on the first floor and had a lovely balcony with stunning views of the hotel grounds . Spa - This Spa is one of the best we’ve ever been to, we have used the spa before and yet again it never fails to impress us. The outdoor pool is toasty warm and a lovely experience especially on a cold day. All facilities within the spa, sauna, steam room etc are spotlessly clean and there is a wide range of experiences to enjoy. Bar - we had a drink in the Clock Tower Bar before dinner, attentive service the bar stocks a wide range of drinks draught beer, wine and great cocktail menu. Restaurant - we opted for a table in the orangery in the Clock Tower Restaurant. Table service was by Ralf, who despite serving on 6 or 7 other tables made it feel like he was there just for us. This service was exceptional the best we’ve ever had in any restaurant. I opted for the scallop starter with lobster ravioli for main, my husband had blade of beef and shared a dessert. All the food was exquisite couldn’t fault anything. The menu was fairly wide (vegetarian options). Breakfast - we both opted for the full English, which was exceptional, served to your table in addition there was plentiful supply of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, meats, cheese and fruit juices. On departing from the hotel, we were seen by Matthew again who checked us out and gave us a goodie bag of fresh bottled water for our journey, which was a nice touch. Also thank you to the young gentleman George, whom offered to carry our bags to the car, but on this occasion the weather was so beautiful we decided to carry them ourselves and take in he last of the beautiful surroundings. Overall a fantastic stay, thanks to all the team at Rudding Park. We will be back, see you soon. Mark & Debbie xx
