Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fond Du Lac, an IHG Hotel

Ok for a stay. The room was a typically room. The TV was not working and had a couple of problems. One it was not plugged in to an outlet. Once I plugged it in to an outlet the TV signaled it didn’t have an input. I spent a half hour trying to troubleshoot the remote with the various inputs. When I went to the desk they told me it was a common problem with the system and how to fix it. I wasn’t the only one who had problems with the TV as I saw other guests at the desk asking about it during my stay. There were no instructions in the room for the special steps needed to work it nor given on check in. It would save time and guest frustration if they did either. Breakfast had the usual fare you would expect at the Holiday Inn Express but I was there on a weekday and while technically they had everything they had small amounts and the stuff looked and tasted like it had been there a few days. After a few bites I ended up throwing my breakfast away and got breakfast elsewhere. I usually like staying at Holiday Inn Express and I am a member but not sure I would stay again.

New, clean, comfortable and great staff! The breakfast was very nice. Lots of choices and the staff kept it refilled. Very nice gathering spaces in lobby. Many dining choices near by. Great Italian restaurant right next door. We had questions about the room temperature and they scheduled a time to come adjust it and did so! They even asked me the next morning if everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. Courteous and friendly staff all around.

Great hotel and close to freeway.. Staff goes up and beyond for service . Rooms are clean and planets of space to do work etc.. Close to restaurants and golf as well.. Plenty of towels when needed and great breakfast served!.
