Home2 Suites by Hilton Fort Myers Airport

This is our 'go to' hurricane hotel. We have been there for Ian, Idalia, Debbie, Helene and Milton. The staff goes above and beyond customer service. I would recommend this hotel for anyone. If there were more than 5 stars I would give it a 10+.

This hotel is located very close to RSW. When we checked in the staff were very pleasant and personable. Our room was large and well appointed. Breakfast was OK and typical of other Hilton properties. My only issue was that the beds were too firm for my liking and the shower could have used more water pressure - rinsing off took a long time.

A good location for what I needed. However, if you are looking for restaurants and entertainment, you will need to drive or ride a couple miles. The staff is friendly and my room was clean. The rooms are setup to have whatever you might need. This is a newer facility.

Great customer service, resources, & patience! Dawn and Anthony were amazing! This hotel is very clean, spacious, perfect location, family oriented, great staff! Thanks for the experience I would recommend anyone to stay. Thank you, (Sunshine)

I would really like to give a review that includes my stay, however I am only able to give a review on their customer service. I am a Hilton Diamond member and have been very loyal to Hilton and their different properties throughout the years, as I use them whenever possible for business and personal travel purposes. I had booked my stay at this location “because of my experience in the past with other Home2Suites” I was traveling with my family and my 5 year old son who Is special needs and has severe sensory issue's. I booked a room with a bathtub and call the hotel and express to them that my room must have a bathroom with a bathtub as my special needs child will not bath in a shower because of his sensory issues, and I was assured that I was not to worry a room with a bathtub would be available upon arrival. While traveling to the Home2Suites Ft Myer’s airport I had noticed that my room accommodations had been changed to a room without a bathtub. I immediately called the hotel to question if my room had a bathtub and was was answered by an employee named Bridget who had explained that “the guest who was staying in the room assigned to me the previous night chose to extend their stay and it was the locations policy to leave the guest in the room that they were in previous, and that they were sold out and the new room assigned to my was my only option for the entirety of my stay so I could cancel but I would be charged for the stay regardless because I didn’t cancel 24 hours prior to checking in, so take it or leave it .”. If I would have known 24 hours prior that my needs wouldn’t be able to be met I would’ve surely cancelled my reservation to meet the 24 hours prior deadline however I was not notified at all to the change in my reservation. After this experience I have chosen to cancel all my future reservations with Hilton properties and cease doing business with them both professionally and personally. Long story short I would highly recommend not staying here especially if you or someone you traveling with has a disability.

I think I have finally had it with Hilton Hotels. I have been a Diamond member for many years and other than the whopping two bottles of water that we get per stay, there’s not much benefit in being a Diamond member anymore. I booked a room for my son who is coming down to visit at this hotel and checked in through my Hilton Honors app. My sons car broke down and was not going to make it at all for the weekend. I only had the room booked for one night. Once we confirmed he would not make it, I drove to the hotel and explained the situation. I was told there was nothing they can do since it was after the 24 hour cut off. I told them that I understood it was last minute, but that I, and no one, had entered the room and that hotels have done this before for me when my wife and I couldn’t reach our Hilton hotel destination while traveling. The young lady at the front desk could care less. I asked if the manager could do something. She went to the back office, threw the door open and came back a few minutes later to tell me there was nothing they could do. She then told me that I would be charged the full amount for the room, and that I could check out in the morning. I went out to the parking lot to call Hilton customer service. She put me on hold for a while, then told me that she would not reverse the hotel’s decision on the matter. This confirmed that the hotel made the decision and that it was not typical Hilton policy to NOT provide the exceptional customer service I am accustomed to in my dealings with Hilton. My company also almost exclusively uses Hilton for all our business travel, which is definitely going to change at this point. So much more I would like to say, and so much more colorful language I would like to use, but I think you can get the gist of dealing with this particular hotel. I would recommend you avoid this hotel at all costs. It’s not even the least expensive in the area. Homewood Suites down the road, if you are definitely a Hilton person, is the way to go. Avoid this hotel! Hilton, you need to make this right with me. Your two bottles of water to be a Diamond member is not worth this BS.
