At first I was unable to book the the correct date and Hawthorne would not answer there phone. Although they allowed me to check in early, the room was not clean at all and there were gnats flying all around. There wasn’t any sheets on the bed either. When looked in the bathroom the toilet had feces in it and it was stopped up with the plunger sitting next to it. I attempted to inform the front desk and I was told to contact trio advisor. I contacted trip advisor and was informed that there were no more available rooms and I could not cancel, No other options were given by The Hawthorne and Trip advisor informed me that they had put in a ticket for my complaint but I needed to wait at least 24 hours. Unfortunately I had to pay for another room at another hotel. Is using An online booking service better or worse? Not so sure anymore this isn’t my first negative experience,
